I am looking at buying a 2003 cobra engine that has been rebuilt for my 2004 cobra. I want to make sure I get the correct stuff, what things should I be looking for?

rebuilt to what spec? stock or have the pistons been upgraded? has it been bored? have the rods been changed?

This is evertything on the listing

The engine is COMPLETELY NEW. 0 miles on this motor. Just filled with oil.
03 Cobra Block Decked, dipped, and .020 over
03 Cobra Crank
Forged H Beam Rods
KB 17cc dished pistons (8.2:1) all forged w/ plasma moly file to fit rings
New OEM oil Pump and Pickup Screen
ARP 2000 Rod bolts
ARP 2000 Main Bolts
ARP Head Studs
Cometic MLS Head Gaskets
Heads were milled .010, new valves, springs, cams, lifters, and retainers.
5 angle valve job was done on the heads before assembly
This motor was built to wistand over 1,000 HP.

it does have a striped bolt hole for the intake bolt on the head, how hard will that be to fix?

I have a leak down/low compression in my #6 cyl its not mising yet, but its eventualy going to need to be fixed. Figure I might as well upgrade while I am at it

looks good, id go for it. Helicoiling that hole will take 3min.

its got forged pistons which is nice since they wont expand like the stockers during long duration pulls at lean a/f tunes.

Will you be using the heads off your 04? The early 03 heads had the "tick" issue, but this was addressed by Ford midway through the production run...

That motor should serve you well. As mentioned getting that stripped hole fixed is no big deal. Intake bolts are not Torqued to much anyway so a heli coil will do the job great.
