So the bumper arrived today, on my doorstep like this...

I start cutting open the packaging and find it wrapped like this...

So far so good... onto inspection...

I was concerned about this.... but a little wet finger and it came right off

and a terrible picture of the color comparison.... from up close inspection it seems spot on.

So far I have to say I am pleased... all marks and things that I noticed appear to be the wax material that comes right off with a wet finger. It needs a wash as it still has some wet sanding water dust on it and I only found hair and dirt inside the grill area where it will be covered regardless. It is a little deformed from being wrapped so tight but that should pull right out... in all honesty I am more annoyed that Ford used rivets on the chin spoiler and now I need to drill them all out and re rivet them in. I have off Monday and Tuesday next week so hopefully I will find time this week to swap over the chin spoiler and the fog lights. As of right now I am pleased and feeling confident on the install.

Seems to be ok, I'll hold out till the final product is on the car and you can let us know how well it matches to the stock paint. That IMO will be the true test along with fitment. Thanks for keeping your word and updating this thread!

I ordered one for my '04 from the MBI auto place on ebay. It came painted and ready to bolt on on Friday of last week. I haven't had a chance yet to put it on, but the paint looks very, very good. The packaging was very nice, with several layers of plastic bubble wrap covering a soft fabric 'bag' around the bumper itself. Then a layer of cardboard and more plastic wrap. I'm very happy so far.

So I just suffered an annoying setback... I accidentally threw away the bumper brackets when I took off the old bumper... Now I need to order a new pair from LMR before I can mount the bumper :cuss::cuss:

On the plus side, the fogs, bezels, and chin spoiler all fit spot on when I installed them. Looks like tomorrow will be reserved for other bits and pieces to do...

So the brackets came today and I was able to get the install done. Small disclaimer. My header panel on either side of the grill has the tab holes broken off and I did not notice until I was installing the bumper. You will notice a slight gap difference at this point that is no fault of the manufacturer. Further, it has not been cleaned at all.

I did not break out the good camera because the weather was crap but it should be coming out tomorrow. Overall I am happy with how the paint came out and the fitment.

So the weather was decent today and I finished up another project on my Cobra do list so I took her out for some pictures. The car is filthy so don't mind that and again, the two tabs on the left and right of the grill are broken so there is no support there but overall I am happy with the lines and the paint match...
