I've been having trouble with this for the last few months. It's a strange whining noise coming from the engine. It's worst when the engine is cold, and braking and turning the wheel can make it even louder. Tends to go away after the car has warmed up, but it can still happen intermittently...

My wife tried to leave my school parking pass sitting on my door, but managed to let it fall down past the window into the door. How hard would it be for me to pop the door panel off, and would that give me access to the inside and let me retrieve the aforementioned pass?
