For me. I just use tight,
But use tool proper for the size bolt/nut being tightened.
Say on this job
A 1/4 inch drive hand tool.
These bolts are tiny.
The lower intake and intercooler bolts I use 1/4 in drive and just hand tight ,than slight more push with pinky finger ..
It's harder to pull as pieces .
That intercooler will get you .
As a unit it's not that bad,,
Hood will go straight up so you can stand on fender vs bending over ,
The nose has to be lifted on angle than slide it forward and up .
Remove EGR valve and all of the vacuum harness from car...
For this car ,
If it were me , after checking fuel shut off switch,
Look for 12 volts on injector with key on.
Than check for signal on injector while cranking.
Normally you would use coil and check for spark.
But being like ours injectors do same thing and accessable,
A noid light can...
No.
But issue I found.
This hose will harden,
The nipple it's on Ford DIDN'T put a clamp on it.
This hose will spin on nipple but not come off ,,hence vacuum leak .
There is also 2 elbows on back side of blower which are common to crumble and a hole start which can be seen and heard ...
With the predator after you scan for codes you can go to other functions like Data log.
Here you will find all the sensors to read ..or record
You will see tp voltage and see tp move from 1 to 5 volts when pressing pedal
To funny,,like I said hard on here.
Your pics of connections in reply #33.
Yes. I get that.
Open what I posted. Step 27
Not your reply #27.
Here it shows where that larger plug sits. On back of engine next to heater core line into head
Than a couple steps later scrolling past 27 you will...

Step 27 plug?
Looks like on back of engine,
Plug 3 you show on that manual photo
I see c1008
139,119 all looking alike but pinned different for items ,and location of plugs .
I've been trying to follow this thread .
Hard on here, but looking at these couple of pics I see c139 more under throttle body area .
How close are these actually,

This is from 2000 manual
Just looking at wiring diagram there are a couple fuses ..
What fuses exactly are you looking at?
See premium or super sound system.
That connector hanging.
Wire colors will help to determine where it goes .
Glad it's off,,
Funny installation with just a little tight with than starting engine this thing is just as hard to break loose if you had tried to remove it again.
For me. I use bar thru drive shaft transmission yoke .
Locks up the back side as best you can without the proper flywheel locking tool.
2ft breaker bar should be enough but may need help with 4ft pipe,
I loosen from under car , with front lifted enough to sit and use my foot and leg strength...
Front connection is ball style also. No gasket,,
Here lube and rubber mallet,
Work both sides down together.
I do have a crack on passenger side header where all 4 tubes meet.
Can't hear it unless you use a tool like stethoscope,,
Remove cable. Drench it with WD-40 inside casing ,
I had this issue with hard to push pedal,
I have bbk off road mid pipe.
It has leaked before ,I've found issues with clamping to cat back ,,had to shim cat back clamp side for clamp to hold seal tight.
Also. Mid pipe may have to be brand...
