Glad to see this thread still going. Got an 07/02 and went balls deep into 2gun/3gun/USPSA.

Carbine runs ok. Like a 10/22 it's a fun blaster, but expect the 1% malfunction rate which to me relegates it to range/fun use versus serious use. Easy to trick out though, a red dot and a can makes a really awesome package.

I run a Zenith as my backup gun. My primary is German parts. For the money, if you want to get into the MP5 platform, buy a Zenith gun and be done with it.
