Yes folks, as some of my FB friends already know, the HD is being retired from track duty :cryying:
After 5 seasons of doing this
This
and this
I finally broke it
Now, I could rebuild it for racing but it's time to give the old girl a rest after 30,000 hard...
Ladies & Gentlemen of SVT
Please join me in congratulating our Euro Brother, Andre on his wedding to Melanie.
Yes, finally he has made an honest woman of her.
A few "Happy Snaps" of the occasion.
(Possibly) The Fastest Wedding Limo in Europe :pepper:
Our hero looking slightly...
Ashbourne, England.
The annual two-day Ashbourne Shrovetide Football game dates from medieval times and sees 'Up'ards - those born north of the Henmore Brook - battle it out against the Down'ards, born on the south side.
Shops in the town board up their windows and close for Shrove Tuesday...
Last year, I managed to get some 12.9's under my belt with front skinnys and 13.0's otherwise.
This year, I haven't bettered a 13.3
Last weekend, I couldn't get better than a 13.5 :mj: I ran those times 2 years ago on 20" street tyres and before the ported blower/efan/meth injection...
For the fans
A new series of Top Gear starts tonight in the UK so expect it to be available soon on BBC America or your fave torrent site.
For the haters :loser:
Clarkson is Gay. We all are in fact. And we drive on the wrong side of the road. Don't forget the warm beer, bad teeth...
Ok, it's not a Lightning but it does have the front bumper :-D
This is in the July issue of ACW Magazine in the UK just out. The HD section is pretty dead anyway.
Ken gives the new Scooby a good workout :pepper:

Whoohoo, after getting straight back from Germany, it was time to load the truck up with the race kit and head for Shakespeare County Raceway for some RWYB action. :D
A stand alone track rental costs us too much money for the numbers involved so our club, Rebel-V8, tacks onto another event...
Just got back from the 5th Annual Euro SVT Meet in Germany late last night and we had a great time as usual.
The beer was flowing, the company was great, the BBQ was tasty, weather was Scorchio and the tyres got a hammering.
This was a 1500 mile round trip for us and it was nice to be able to...
Started off with a 14.9 bone stock and with a few mods, hit the 12's at last.
Ok, so 12's is not a big deal but it is a heavy ass 4 door truck. I'm happy
I'm having a problem with my 97GT in where the battery will go flat over the course of a few days if left sitting.
It has a brand new battery and if left disconnected, will start the car fine, even after 6 weeks of being away.
I've tried leaving it with the alternator disconnected and I always...
Ok, it's with the Harley but is does have a Lightning blower and front bumper :D
I ran the truck this weekend at a national event in the UK and ran a 12.93 @ 105 mph.
I also won my class which was the late model EFI class taking the trophy and shutting out various Corvettes, Mustangs, and other...
We are still busy drinking and playing silly buggers in Germany but I know that some of you want to see what we are up to already.
Andre's truck has a twin
Great weather
Lots of this
and a quick and nasty video filmed from the "Pimpcam" in the Harley
Full report and official video...
If you recall the pig splattering incident, I've now gone from this.
To my redneck repair
To this :pepper:
Spot the stealthy new Chickenears scoop
Matching CAI
This must be worth about 1 meeelion horsepower so I can keep up with Andre on the Autobahn this weekend :coolman:
My truck is finally in the shop getting repaired after the porky pig incident.
All the parts arrived safely in the UK (thanks Riverside Parts Distribution & LFP) and are currently being fitted so the truck will be ready for Euro SVT week at the end of the month. The debut of the new look will be...
Did a search but couldn't really find the answer I needed.
Is there an alternate to dropping $$$ on a set of Bogarts?
If so, what do you run and most importantly, what difference did it make to your E.T.?
I've heard of people running the AR Baja 16x8 or the factory spare but this doesn't...
I'm a bit stumped here
Last year when I dyno'd, my A/F was a lovely 11.8-1 across the board.
Today, I dyno'd with the same tune and it's now 10.9/11-1.
My new wideband conforms this and the exhaust tips are black.
I have ported the blower and fitted a new exhaust since then...
I released my inner redneck today and did a fab "Rebel Repair" TM on the HD so that I can race next weekend.
Guess I must have spent too much time in the South :poke:
First of all, a few lightweight brackets.
I see you've noticed the duct tape holding the valence on. Pretty good...
I was out last night on my private test track (read: country roads) last night giving the new exhaust a workout.
Doing about 70mph when into the road trotted a wild pig.
Hit the brakes but it was either a barrier on one side or opposing traffic so Mr Piggy got it head on. :bash:
It was a fair...
I would put this in the HD section but it doesn't get that much traffic and I have gone for a Lightning style exit so here it is.
First of all, squeeze the HD on the ramp. I don't think this was made for US pick ups.
It does fit, just :D
A few pics of the original factory system...
Ladies and Gents. A big announcement.
Euro SVT week will be our version of LightningFest. If you are in Europe,You don't need to go all the way to Kansas City for your fun anymore.
For the last 3 years, Andre Wagenknecht has held a meeting in Hannover, Germany called Euro SVT.
This...
Our club in England had our last get together of the season last weekend.
It's getting too cold, wet and crappy to race anymore and the tracks will now be closed till springtime :(
Here's a few of us keeping the faith over the pond.
