Ya'll still run out at Rankin Rd. or has that gone by the wayside like everything else has? I spent many a weekend out there smelling the Armour plant and racing some years ago.
Yeah yeah, I know. Anyways, I pulled the drivetrain to get the tranny done and to try and figure out why the oil pressure went to zero on me. I pulled the pan, the pickup tube was attached, pulled the pump, stuck in a pan of oil and spun it up. It moved oil just fine so the issue is the gauge...
I ordered the tranny parts for the Chevelle today. Hopefully it won't be long before it's back out terrorizing the streets again.
Will, that white snake of yours gonna be ready? I'm gonna need the hoist and stand pretty soon.
I'm looking forward to this. I've got a lot of butt kicking...
I just bought this and am sailing it home tomorrow.
She a 1961 Knutson K35 yawl and she's 40' LOA and 10' in beam. She built of mahogany and teak and flat gorgeous.
After 10 long hours of wrenching, we got the Brute to fire. We only ran it a few minutes due to a minor coolant and fuel leak but it ran. No oil leaks, no tappng or rattles. It sounded SWEET uncapped and fairly vicious. I'm gonna take care of the hickies tomorrow and see if I can at least...
Tyler took some pics and posted them on LS1Tech but never got around to putting them up here so, for those who are interested, here's the link.

It picked up about 10 MPH in an 800 foot run (the distance from my driveway to Walker Valley Rd.) and is on par with a CAI/CB Cobra. My Snake used to hit 80 in that same distance before I pullied up and that's what the GSX hit. I managed to smoke the clutch testing it however. We're getting...
I got my race balancer for the Brute. SFI-18.1 rated to 12,500 RPM, not that I'll ever spin that monster that high. I'm still waiting for the install tool to get here and for some warmth so I can get the last motor mount bolt in. Making progress, slowly but surely.
I pulled the motor and tranny again to get the shield, poly mounts and headers on. Man it's tight in there. I've got maybe a 1/4" on each side between the frame and headers. I still don't have the holes lined up but their only about a 1/4 of an inch off since I took the 4' pipe and sledge...
Little Charlie matched up against Will for an quick impromptu roll-on. I need to teach that boy how to brake boost 'cause Will put two on him before the turbo spooled. It looked like Will got it by three or four by the time it was over. The results were about where they should've been...
My boy Charlie just called me to say he beat a Redfire Terminator in a 3rd gear roll race and got the crazy eye in return while going Southbound on I-5. Who was the unlucky victim? We just modded that car but haven't dyno'd yet.
For those of you that remember the first sail where I found a hole, broke the rudder and generally had a blast, this one was much better. I got the boat back Thursday and the new rudder Friday. My daughter and I got her in the water after having to press the keel winch handle into double duty...
Will had fun spanking an Evo from Bellingham, which probably started a rivalry since I know those guys. They'll turn it up and be back for more. The crazy Asian in the Porsche showed up wanting to do half mile freeway runs again, this is normal for this dude. A Procharged GT and an LS1 went...
Damn they suck. I've only heard two Imports with A/M exhaust that sounded worth a crap. One was an N/A '98 Eclipse with Megan that sounded fast as hell even though it wasn't. Nice deep tone that was balanced by the Intake noise. The other was a Teggie I heard the other day that sounded...
Took the heads into Meridian for a bit of tweaking and discussed some possible combos for it with the guys. It's looking like I'll be shifting at around 7800 or so with the new combo. I'm probably gonna have to get a looser converter as well, 3K flash just ain't a gonna be good enough. :dw...
