Loosened the jam nuts, turned the center section clockwise till it was centered using my eyes and the mudflaps, then tightened the jam nuts. Used a 3 ton floor jack under the diff and jack stands but didn't set the diff on the stands, in place for safety. Everything seems good, took it out for a...
Watched a vid of guy adjusting the pan hard bar to correct a off center diff situation pretty much the same issue I'm experiencing. Pretty confident I could do it myself.
Yes it was lowered when I purchased it, came with the Ford Performance non adjustable handling pack. 100 ft. lbs. is the recommended torque spec. for the 14 GT.
It bugs me out though, guess I didn't really notice it with the factory 245's and now more noticeable with a wider tire. Torqued all the lug nuts to 100 ft.lbs, believe the manual called for 105 but I'll double check before hitting the road. The tpms sensors required nothing, no warning light on...
Yes I went 265 but I now have another issue, the left rear tire sticks out ever so slightly more than the right side. I removed all the factory push locks at the studs so it's not that. Guess I have a uncentered differential, or a wheel with an improper offset, or the body is tweaked. I'm going...
Finally got them mounted, Goodyear wouldn't do it, Firestone did. They look great, sidewalls nice n square they look completely normal on these wheels. Guess Goodyear was concerned with damaging the wheels, Firestone crushed it, one little nick in the barrel, nothing on the outside at all. 135...
According to Nitto the optimal tire width for a 9" wide wheel is 255, so I feel safe using a 265. I haven't spoken to anyone that has said a 265 is to wide for a 9" wide wheel. A 275 width seems to be a 50/50 response, what's your opinion? Surely Nitto is staying within guidelines, they're...
Went with the J&L passenger side separator, had to wiggle it in to get it to sit flush and had to pull the head sensor harness pushpin out so the canister wouldn't rub on it. The canister gets pretty darn hot and after a couple hours of spirited driving nothing, not even any film in the...
I was a tough decision deciding on wheels, love the Forgestar's, I could swing fully forged but couldn't justify it, so I went Apex flow flormed SM10's 19x9 in Anthracite. Wheels are beautiful, weighing in at approximately 23.3 lbs, using a bathroom scale, extra material on the lip, unpainted...
I guess you're right, I will eventually install one and tie in the driver's side with a T, with the catch can on the passenger side. No need for two of them.
There's only suction on the passenger where it's connected to the pcv valve, no suction at all on the driver's side. So I guess it would only make sense to install one on the passenger side. I pulled it off while running some serious suction, installed it and ran it pretty hard for about 30...
Do the experts recommend one on a 14 GT, it has only port injection? Do they make one that does both the passenger and driver side? Or do I need to purchase one for each side? I changed the plugs at 20k miles and the plugs were all the same tanish/brown color, no oil that I could see. Vehicle...
The bad about the mt82 is the internals and it's remote mounted. The good is that the casing is durable and can withstand a lot of abuse. I've heard nothing but good things coming from Calimer owners but it's still remote mounted, unless you go with a MGW to take the remoteness out of the...
Sounds good I'll go 275, should give the car a whole new look, currently on 245/45/19's, they are actually the factory p zero nero's from Pirelli. 9 years old with plenty of tread depth left. Probably going with Nitto nt555 g2's, good all round summer tire imo. Thx again!
I've looked at a couple different charts and 275 seems to be the max width for a 9" wide wheel. Guess my question is, will maxed out effect sidewall strength and integrity? I don't want a stretched look to the side wall. I'm not racing just wanted lighter wheels and a bit more contact patch...
Leno has one of everything, I never really found him to be funny, sorta like commercial funny, you have to laugh because he's Leno. Dave Chappelle that's a funny MF.
Ford must of gone this route because of cost, my Spicer Dana (Ford Performance) aluminum DS, was one of my first upgrades. I don't experience any xtra noise or vibration even at a buck fifty. A steel two piece DS is not performance in any way, jmo.
