Long time ago, back in 2014 I think I posted a built thread. Can't find the link. But here is a run down of the car:

2012 5.0 coyote crate motor
FRPP control Pack
BBK Swap LT Headers, 3 inch x pipe, 3 inch borlas xs, 3 inch flowmaster tail pipes

Update!!! Finally got the funds to do a Bret Barber ported 18 manifold and stock throttle body. First class work and awesome customer service. Total cost was $360, however I was able to work a deal with Bret for a nitrous outlet intake I had and wasn't using. So total I paid was $180. I am...
Update!!! So no new mods however got back to our no prep parking lot track and was able to slightly increase my time to a best of of 7.475 @94.94 with a 1.700 60 foot. Only thing I changed was the shift points from 7000 to 7300. The launch is limited by the track and the fact that my rims are...
UPDATE!!!!!! Alright Guys got my (unported) 2018 intake with a AED e85 tune with my dragpack. wheels and got past the 7.5 wall i was having issues with. Car went 7.476 @94.93 with a 1.689 60 foot. Followed by a 7.489 @ 94.74 with a 1.681 60 foot. Launching at 5500 rpm and shifting between...
So a few specs from my trip. Car ran great did over 4500 miles averaged 22-24 mpg on 91 octane. E85 did around 16 mpg on the highway. Car definitely feels more torquey with E85. Got to TX2K18 and was only able to run twice which took 3 hours. Unfortunately since i usually run 1/8 mile a...
I aim for 6900 rpm shift points. Just going off the stock tach gauge. Which are pretty accurate, to the data logs I have done in the past. My 91 octane tune is conservative do to the crappy quality of California gas. I should have my 47lb injectors and e85 tune in soon for a comparison...
Hey all,
Got the 60 foot down to 1.65, however the time stayed the same at 7.526 at 92 mph. DA was a bit different, however I feel the car should be mph more. Maybe its the way the track is setup. Any ideas or do you guys think this is normal for my mods. Thanks
Here is the best time slip, I am the left lane. Right lane was a super clean GTO with the stock LS2 bottom end, LS3 heads, healthy cam, LS3 intake manifold, exhaust, stalled auto. on slicks as well.
Yes Sir, every little bit. I will report back with some track info. I should be able to get to the limit of the 91 octane tune this friday and then have a comparison for the forum at the drag strip for others that don't have quite the budget for boost. Thanks again for the input.
Also it will be kinda like a tune that I switch too when I am at the track. I will be keeping the 91 octane for daily driver use. As far as cost, its actually not to bad. 150 for the injectors and 100 for the retune so 250 total for 10-20 hp depending. Not terrible. I would love to get a...
It will have a retune. Shaun at AED will be doing the tuning. And I feel there is a little more to be gained then 10 hp from 91 California pump gas. But I could be wrong. Just trying to go as fast as possible with the stock crate motor. Thanks for the input.
Hello all,
Got some great news, scored a awesome deal on a set of 10th anniversary wheels 17x9 and some half used 28x10x17 Hoosier bias ply slicks (thanks Mark.) I went to the qualcomm track, where my most consistent time was an 8.0 @ 91.5 mph with a 2.0 sixty foot with nitto 555r drag radials...
Seems like no buddy has actually compare the mod on the track for a N/A coyote. I will let you guys know after I run it down the track with e85. Hopefully its worth at least a tenth or better.
Hey all,
I am converting my 91 octane tune Coyote Swap to E85. I know the rwhp results are around 10-15 hp, however has anyone done a back to back dragstrip comparison. My setup is in my sig. I am running mid 7s in the 1/8 and most likely mid 11s in the quarter mile. Just curious what I can...
Hello all,
I am converting to E-85 and have a question about my setup. I have a 96 cobra with a coyote swap(N/A setup mods in sig). The fuel system is a 340lph aeromotive stealth pump with a pro-m hat. -6 return and feed lines (e85 capable) and 47lb injectors. The fuel filter is a 40 micron...
So I would say that your tune is fine. If you are worried about it data log during the run and make sure there is no retard timing (positive knock). Also what is your 60 foot. If it is not a 1.6 or 1.7 you need to work on getting that down. I think on a very well prepped track with the...
That is actually pretty good. I have a first gen coyote swap in my mystic cobra and 8.0 and 7.9 at about 90 to 91 mph was all I could muster with nitto drag radials. 1.9 to 2.0 sixty foot. I just ran last Friday with a set up half used 28x10x17 hoosier bias ply slicks on a 17x9 wheel and it...
So did some datalogging and found some false knock. The passenger side motor mount was bent and causing a metal to metal contact. Waiting on parts but will be trying again to get the car into the 7s 1/8 mile at quad com with just nitto 555rs. I will have someone watch the car and see how it...
