Can I run these with the race star wheels?

I installed a boss intake onto my 2011 GT and I'm having idling issues. It revs from 600 rpms to 800 rpms and then it will take a deep breath like the throttle body was opening by its self every minute. This only happens when its hot or when I just ran it hard. Any Ideas?

Does this really help at the track? My car is a 2011 GT/CS and I drive it maybe once a week. I got the car mainly for drag/street racing.
