Bought them from my buddy and planned on trying to make them work in my crown vic. Decided it would be too much work so I'm just going to save for coilovers. $250 OBO. They were recently rebuilt, and were in my buddy's kenne bell Th400 swapped 2011 that has gone a string of 10.0s. He's a member...
It still has the stock chevy pattern bellhousing, so it would need a TH400/modular bellhousing adapter. If you bought the trans and wanted me to put the bellhousing on, I would do it for free if you bought it.
Built RMVB th400 with TCI trans brake for sale. All new clutches (Borg Warner high...
You WILL NEED A BELLHOUSING ADAPTER TO MAKE THIS WORK WITH A MOD MOTOR. You can get these from summit racing, or probably a vendor on here. If you want to buy it and have me put it on, I'll do that for free. Currently it is a forward manual valve body (no trans brake).
I don't have any pics...
Well I got it into the 9s guys! Drove it 75 miles there, made three passes (10.06 @ 139, 10.34@136, and 9.96 @ 139), didn't blow up, then drove 75 miles home!
Video to follow!
Went to the local 8th mile last night to get it dialed in on 15-16 psi and I'm pretty satisfied with the results. I'll be at Bowling Green on the 26th if you wanna see it in person or get your coyote/2V/4V/SBF dragged down the track by four doors of fun and a $225 junkyard motor. #flame-on...
Got it back together and making some passes. I'm not gonna say there's a little or a lot more left in it because that's what amateurs say. I'm just glad I made a clean pass and didn't blow up. Gonna enjoy it for a little and take it to the 1/4 and see what she can do! I think she gets down...
Well the car is back together AGAIN... LOL. I've learned a lot about these LS motors and tuning in the last year. I'm on my 3rd shortblock. Both of the previous ones blew up because of greed. 22psi on stock ring gap and ripped out a wrist pin on the first one. 23psi on the second one and melted...
Taking apart MT82? Putting a TH400 in
Buddy blew his MT82 and we're putting a 400 in it. I can't figure out how to take this thing apart. I know my way around a 400 (somewhat), but this "manual" trans has me stumped.
We just wanna see how terrible it is inside, you should hear this thing...
