Has anyone ever had their intercooler adapter inlet leak? I noticed a dips coming from the inlet nipple, so i pulled the hose off and could easily wiggle the entire inlet tube. Is this common, is there an easy long-term fix or should I trash the adapter?

I am in the middle of installing a Canton oil pan. I am aiming for .350" of clearance based on my research, but is that measured at the sides of of the pick up or the center of the screen. There is about a .25" difference because the screen is concave. Pic for reference.
