Was going back together with my timing set passenger fine went on and looks fine. The driver side looks off and the chain is basically touching the tensioner. What gives?
So you just roll it over till you pop all the followers out, get it Back to TDC and put all the gears and chains on, then go back through and install the followers. Or does #1TDC not matter?
Guess I could use some big vice grips lol, or just not be a cheapo. I wonder if AutoZone has a loaner for that. I wouldn’t use much else from there but.
I just had a machine shop replace some valves and block had to be bored.020 new pistons etc. when I go back together with this thing what all do I have to do with the timing. Do I get #1 at TDC and line up everything on the dots and chains etc, or do I have to go more in depth? Thanks in advance.

I’m tryin to figure out if I am needing to replace the fuel pumps, fpdm, or something else. I was just gonna put 12v to the pump to see if it runs but I can’t seem to find a wiring diagram with the same colors. Any help would be appreciated.
this is the same gasket on two different sides/banks. These gaskets have alignment dowels built into them. I would think being made for this motor they would align correct
