Hey,
I was reading a post of yours in a thread regarding info about the reman ford cobra motors. Unfortunately my #5 and 6 piston rings have lost it....stock motor too. Needless to say Im very bummed that this happened with only 42,000 original miles. Im needing a new motor and was thinking the reman sounded like a great deal.
Btw Im in riverside, CA also. I just was curious about who did your work and how you like the motor. I spoke with Greg at RET and he sounded like a great guy that knows his stuff. I noticed your tune is from him too.
Hey man! I just noticed your thread on the blown motor swap u did. I have a couple questions about this. I believe my 03 Termi has a blown head gasket. Antifreeze smoke coming out of the driver exhaust, overheating after a long while, and low amount of fluid in the radiator. No water in the oil as far as I can see! It runs great with the exception of sputtering(I guess due to water getting into the compression chamber) at take off but after that runs nice. Idle's perfectly... I have not done a leak-down test yet. My question is this: If I did blow the head gasket do you think thats all it is? What are the chances the head is warped? Can u re-mill these heads? when you listen to these symptoms, what do you think? Any help would be appreciated! I wish u lived in FLA!
