Every time I see that video I still wonder where the **** that guy went. The only answer I can come up with is low-earth orbit. And then I laugh like a 6 year old kid.

Same, I don’t even care that it’s obviously fake. When the camera cuts from the first guy and he lands in the background I always chuckle.

What pisses me off the most about the takeovers is how they aren't broken up. There's no stings or police waiting to bust them because of the "culture" and demographic that is mostly taking part. They're also considerably more dangerous than street racing yet it's street racing that is treated like a mass casualty event is inevitable. You've got one where it's be as reckless as possible in someone else's car that you stole and the other is go fast and don't wreck in the car you built and threw thousands of dollars into. They're far apart in levels of danger involved and the intentions of those taking part yet the more dangerous one gets no attention from the police or government.

Also, how is it exciting to stand in the middle while a car does donuts and a burnout? I just don't get where the excitement is at unless it's for the carnage.

Oh add to it how they are counting all those pedestrian injuries as a reason for more vehicle safety, electrification and calling cars racist because of the victims skin tone.

It's all about social media, about posting your video of being there & getting likes. Main character syndrome. Idiocracy at its finest.

And why aren't cops showing up at these people's homes.... Would take 5 minutes worth of work.

That 300C with the Uhaul graphics has been all over IG before the fatal crash.

I believe most of these dumb ass street car take overs are in soft on crime type cities. They're probably under paid, fed up with paid for DA's that just release them due to zero $ bail systems. Just a guess

Same for crimes where a firearm is involved. Why stop the act when we can create a statistic that, in a simpleton's mind, justifies rewriting 2A.

A few years back my wife and I decided to enjoy our 5 year anniversary at a very upscale hotel in down town Charlotte near where we used to party in our younger days. We basically never left the hotel because of this shit. We spent the 1st night out on the town and got screamed at by a "you can guess" about how "I let my big ass dog get too close while walking down the sidewalk" then proceeded to see just about every intersection taken over by the same shit in that video. We were on the 23rd floor and could watch the mayhem taking place all over the city. People jumping from car to car in parking lots, dirt bikes all over the place, every stoplight had some asshole doing doughnuts in it- All the while, NOT A SINGLE police presences there. The shit went on all night long.
It really is a bummer though. We used to have so much fun in that area in college when we first started dating.
Haven't been back since.
