I just bought a '96 Cobra SVT Convertible, white and saddle. The stock rims are butt ugly. Trying to decide between all black or polished outer and gray/gunmetal spokes like the American Racing Torq Thrust. Anyone have something like these?

Neither. I would put another stock wheel on it. Like the silver 03 cobra wheels.

It is probably an age thing, but I have always felt that the Cragar 5 spoke or slotted styles are the way to go on almost any muscle car and I think the black really looks good against the white paint. Not saying the 03 rims don't look good, just not the right style for me.

AR Torque Thrusts are cool and all, but I wouldn’t put them on any Mustang newer than ‘68. I’ve never understood the dislike for ‘96-7 Cobra wheels…I was disappointed they didn’t offer them in ‘98 when I got my first Cobra.

call me old school, but I hate black rims on white mustangs. I think chrome rims look best on white. Or white rims really make it pop. If I were you, I would go with some mach 1 rims, or some knock off saleen rims.

another thought is the 1993 svt rims. I dont know if you follow MerchantSVT on instagram, but a few months ago he posted the 93 rims on his cobra and my god did it look amazing. here is a pic of it.
