I have seen that before, I guess I never knew the name. I’d love to be able to do that job full time. I’d spend my life at a shelter if I could afford to.

Introducing Dash, our latest foster. Dash has been with us several weeks and he is an Awesome pup. Dash is completing medications for heartworm, and as soon as we get him through that, his new forever home is already lined up.

Beautiful pup. How long do you typically have foster dogs? I don't think I could do it. I know I wouldn't want to let them go.
They usually stay with us around 2-3 weeks, unless they are recovering from an injury or health issue, then it may be longer.

My friend rescued this blue Weimaraner and he was really skinny at 59lbs. He's up to a little over 75 now eating fresh food I make for him that my friend buys from me. Looks like it's working pretty well for sure.

Been a minute since I have posted our new pack. Scooter "Scoots" is 4 years old. Charlie "Chunk" is 7 years old & Marley "Moo" is 17. All Rescues. Our oldest rescue died last year at 23 years old.

That was a few days ago. Little girl just had surgery on tumor under her skin. It’s being sent off to find out if it’s cancerous. Hopefully just a fatty tumor. We called yesterday as a family member noticed a bulge on her body. We brought her in to get checked out and the clinic wanted to get it removed. Well they called after the surgery I wasn’t able to speak with them; so, my coworker talked to them. Apparently she has 6 other locations on her body that need attention. I stopped by after work but the vet, overseeing her, at the clinic, had already left for the day. I’ll find out further details tomorrow. So, hopefully she’ll return home tomorrow for a short recovery. Then, they want her back for the other spots in two weeks.

Good luck. Did they aspirate the lump? If they do that they can tell right away if its cancerous. At least in my experiences.
Was the bulge near one of her nipple things? Teet?

If so, we just fostered a female with a tumor. Caused by a botch in her spade surgery. 2 surgeries and 6 rounds of intense dog kemo gave her another year with us. We paid for all of it and the real owner never even said thank you.

Bella, lol sometimes she really looks like a pitbull and others not so much. She is 1.5 yrs. AmStaff and American bully.
To my knowledge, no. I spoke with my primary vet at the clinic, when I stopped by after work, but he didn’t oversee her on this visit. The overseeing vet will be there tomorrow, and I will get a lot more info on the situation. They did tell me she did fine in the surgery, but wanted to monitor her overnight. Just to be safe; which I agreed to that mindset.

Unfortunately no. The spot was very near the waste disposal location. Their primary concern is the location of the growth was close to the nerves that keep said location closed. But things went well in the surgery, and if she does good over the next 12 hours, she’s probably coming home.
I hope so as well. She’s such a little sweetheart of a dog. All my neighbors tell me if you don’t want her we’ll take her. Anyway, her behavior and mannerisms haven’t changed much in the last couple of weeks. I don’t think it’s serious, but we’ll find out once the results are finished for the lab work.
