I thought it looked like Pattaya. That's where my unit ended up when we were there. Place was wild and plenty of shemales on the streets. Believe they said there are as many as 50k sex workers that come to Pattaya on any given night and they come from all over.

Its insane. You have street workers, strippers/hookers in the clubs and bars, and then you have brothels with dozens of prostitutes. These are all over the city and the main strip is pretty much completely filled with bars, clubs, and strip clubs. It's basically all there is.
They should just rename the city Herpes.
Legally they cant, you can still catch yet to be scientifically identified STD's there. One of the last frontiers to be fully explored.
And while I dont have the numbers to back up this claim Im willing to bet the bars along the shoreline in Hong Kong can give Pattaya a run for its money. Every woman was literally working no matter where you ran into them once the sun went down. It was a brothel as far as the taxi could take you on that island when a carrier came to port.

I think 50k is a bit much. Research shows it's about half that.
It was a very similar situation in Angeles & Olongapo Philippines back when our bases were still in operation there. (Side note... we may be spinning back up with a Marcos in power again). Angeles still has a large red-light district catering to sex tourists, Google says up to 24K sex workers just in Angeles alone. U.M.
