Prime Time. He's the real deal.

If you've been living under a rock this week, you missed Deion being named the 2023 Colorado Buffalos head coach, leaving behind an incredibly successful Jackson State University program.

JSU: 12-0
CU: 1-8

I met Deion about 10 years ago. There is a 100% chance given an opportunity, I would've played for the guy. His conviction to the sport is phenomenal....but his true love and loyalty to his players is on a whole different level. He's been there, done that, and teaches it in the right way.

I predict Colorado will finish top 4 in the PAC12 in the 2023 season, and be a force to be reckoned with by 2024.

There will be 25+ kids transfer. His son, Shedeur, has been the started at JSU for the last two years and put up amazing numbers; he'll transfer and start out of the gate.

I'm so happy for the dude to have a chance on an even bigger stage to show that he can do it. To show that he can put together an incredible coaching staff, and to show he can get players to play for him. Go Buffs!

Hopefully he does well on a bigger stage

Little trivia question for yall: everyone knows neon's got the fastest 40 time at fsu. Without looking it up, who has the second fastest?

CU will actually be fun to watch. I went to their football camp in high school when they were competing for and winning national championships. The video posted where he was introduced to the players was great of course most people are taking it out of context.

I spent time with him a few times through aquaintences 20 years ago and he was really nice back then. That's about all I know about him.

I was curious about this move you're talking about so I pulled up a web search and the first news article was on MSNBC and they were complaining that he's going from a black school to a white school. Our media.....

He was an incredibly talented asshole.
Now he's an incredibly talented asshole who found Jesus.
I just always thought he was a typical sports star douchebag. Didn't he try driving on a cliff or something one time? Anyways, seems he is not as jacked up as most sports peeps.

I think it's a great thing that he's coming to CU. His speech was badass. I wasn't sure he was serious when he was talking about no phones, no rings, no watches, no earrings, etc because that's the exact opposite of himself at FSU.

I think they will be better than top four in the Pac12. He instantly makes that place a destination location.

He said "I'm bringing my baggage, and it's Louis". Lmao.

I've seen a lot of chatter about him not being an Xs and Os coach. Neither was Bobby Bowden who he played for. A D1 head coach spends most of their time recruiting, and trying to get money from corporate sponsors and boosters. He will be great at that and hire the guys who will call plays and game plan. I played at a smaller school a long time ago and all our head coach did during games was yell at refs and decide whether we were going to punt or go for it on 4th down.
