Update!

Eurocharged chicago just called me...apparently the head tuner by the name of Jerry down in Katy Texas was on vacation until this morning and wants to "make my car right"

So I am going back ONE LAST TIME at 1pm central. Will report back. 007 over and out.

On alot of those newer cars there really isnt much of a HP gain... but they lift the rev limiter 1000 rpm and so they can say it picked up xx HP over where it was.

I agree but this car shares the same motor with the mb gts. When Pat did the Renntech time on that car I gained half a second in the 1/4 mile and 6-7mph trap speed.

Car feels really strong after the last update...did some more dragy passes after I left...humid, DA is 2500, I know that doesn't really matter too much...here is the tale of the tape now...

0-60 is now 3.67 (3.42 rollout)

1/8 is now [email protected]

1000ft is now [email protected]

1/4 is now [email protected]

No clue why the trap speed is about the same...car made it to 60 .2 tenths faster though.

It feels really strong now, hard to believe since the dragy only shows another tenth of gain...

Thoughts?

ET does not mean shit. The mph tells the HP story.
My car is slower than some other cars from a ET perspective.
But I run about 6 mph faster than them.
I am making more HP.
I just don't have the 60' they do. By about 2 tenths.
The higher the MPH, the more HP it takes to get the next MPH.
Picking up 6 MPH when you are running 80 mph in the 1/4 mile is nothing.
Try picking up 6 mph in the 1/8 when you already are going 134 mph. Different story altogether.

I’m still wondering why not just stick with what you’ve had success with? Renntech did you right on the same platform so sticking with them makes all the sense. Or was it about the cents?

In the words of Cher..."if i could turn back time..."

For me it was about getting it done local since you have to send your ECU to Renntech in order for the tune to get done.

On my old AMG GTS and E63 Renntech sent a handheld which was super easy and convenient.

Now i'm sorta stuck allowing Eurocharged to sort this out as I have spent my money with them and they are doing their best to make me happy.

I still am baffled how a seasoned tuner can't get this right quickly and easily on a stock car in this day and age...my guesses are:

1. Aston uses their own TCU calibration and Eurocharged has no idea how to deal with that

2. The trans has been updated from a few years ago...now it has an 8 speed, i think the old one was a 7 speed...

3. The car is def feeling faster now but not pulling harder up top...as others have mentioned that could be due to lots of factors...maybe it is making more power in the lower rpm and the same power in the higher rpm...would that equal faster 0-60 but no increase in trap speed....not sure.

4. I sure do miss my plaid...no fuss, no muss, just a 9.3 everytime with no tune needed...lolololololol

I don't even wanna give you guys the latest update...it will make you question how I could even get to a point in my life where I would have this car.

Word of advice...NEVER use Eurocharged for anything. Even if you have diarrhea and are driving past one of their locations and have no choice but to go in and use their bathroom...don't do it. It would be better to crap your pants and keep on driving.

C'mon tell us. Consider it a PSA.

My car sat at eurocharged all day, had the owner, his top tuner and the people at the local eurocharged tuning it.

Gained 25whp and are now requesting the car back “one more time” so they can revise the tune again.

Wtf. That’s the short version. Kill me now.
