I bought a used eBay Intercooler and noticing my charge temps were 150+ , I got concerned. Looking at the flow- it must have some restrictions. I bypassed the brick all together and it was like a jacuzzi in there. So I tried to flush it- didn’t work. I caved and bought a VMP and the flow is like the brick isn’t even there. Big improvement, hoping to get the car back on the ground soon and enjoy it.

Here’s a video:

What is your coolant to water mix? Did you check the radiator cap? Air in your system would usually be identified by signs of coolant on/around the engine or steam. That would require bleeding the air out of the system. But you're seeing some aeration in the coolant but none of the usual signs of air in the system?

He's dealing with the intercooler. Not the radiator for the engine.

I’m getting some aeration and need to figure that out

If your flow is "like a jacuzzi" in your degass tank, run a 2nd line parallel to it to bypass enough flow to calm the water inside. Turbulence in the tank can allow aerated coolant to flow into the system from it.

So should I just raise the water level so the return isn’t jetting in and has head presssure?

You can try it, probably already have since it's easy and there's not much to lose. My guess... might improve a little when stationary but when accelerating/decelerating/cornering probably not much. A bypass line is Ford's answer in the GT500

I don’t understand, the GT500 has an Intercooler bypass line?

How would I do that here?

Do you run a tank up front or just the rear tank?
If just aeration in the rear trunk tank it shouldn’t be an issue.
If you also have a front tank and aeration is up front then just use a bypass or eliminate the front tank.
Lastly you can turn the pump down for cruising but that’s great flow so you should be good to go.
