Thanks guys, it’s still surreal opening the garage and seeing it parked there.

Awesome looking GT-500. It looks to be in really great condition. Decent miles, too?

Any other mods planned?

Outside of lowering it, just a nice set of wheels, MGW shifter and maybe a lower crank pulley. I forgot to mention it has the Shelby heat exchanger with fans. Gonna get used to the power first and enjoy it.

Already picked up an extra chin spoiler from Ford. Debating whether to swap out the steering wheel to preserve the alcantara

Wheel was still available at the dealer.
I just bought a bunch of parts like the front splitter.
I also have a set of Eibach Pros if interested. They came with an extra set of the stock Bilsteins I bought and don’t need the springs.
Great pick up.

I don’t know if anyone remembers the leaked DIB GT500 on the lift from back in late 2011, but that picture had me dead set on DIB for my order.

Changed my mind and went with Grabber at order time, but Deep Impact is sexy as ****.

Nothing too crazy:BMR Springs, Relocation brackets, swaybar brackets, Steeda PHB and Brace, MGW shifter. Really looking for an Apple CarPlay retrofit, been so spoiled with my daily

Thanks for the heads up on the wheel, J. I already have the BMR springs sitting in the parts pile.

Congrats & good luck with the 13,............you have the important option,....the roof !!
.
Thanks dude! Loving the glass roof. Question tho, is there any maintenance that needs to be done to the shade? Sometimes it gets caught up sliding back
That is legit and came with the basic bolt on improvements.
I'm sick with Covid these last few days, cheered me up to see this
Congrats
Feel better buddy! Glad I could share my excitement with everyone!

The stance looks pretty good as is, but lowering it will make it look even better. Nice shifter choice.

I haven't seen many DIB GT-500s. I love the color!

I've been having fun planning out mods and really making the Shelby my own. Thankfully, I have a close friend who works for Ford and happens to be pretty damn knowledgeable who was gracious enough to install and go through the car. Since I wanted a clean slate to start with we tackled the maintenance bits:
Oil change with Mobil 1 and a FL820s filter,
Trans service with Royal Purple Synchromax,
Diff fluid with Mobil 1

Onto a couple little discoveries. The Stainless Works H pipe almost became two I pipes, this thing was cracked along the welds. Not sure how that happened but it solved the intermittent rattling noise I heard at high speeds. So in went the stock midpipe.

For this round of modifications:
BMR Springs, relocation brackets and swaybar spacers. The 13-14's have a thicker sway bar necessitating the spacer to clear the relocation brackets.

MGW Short Shifter along with UPR stainless clutch line and billet eyelet. Holy crap this made the car feel so much better. It got rid of the in gear slop, the shifts are much more positive and crisp, the clutch feels so much better. It feels heavier compared to the softness it was when I first drove her. I would highly recommend this combination of mods along with the Royal Purple synchromax.

Shelby American shift knob and boot retainer. I wanted something to liven up the interior a little. Credit to @biminiLX for the inspiration

I heard stories of the GT500's rear having some whining issues and although mine was slight I made the decision to just have everything overhauled. This includes Ford Racing 3.31 gears, GT500/BOSS specific inner pinion bearing, diff and axle bearings and seals. Good thing I did since it looked like the previous owner's had some fun. Now the only noise I hear is the little extra noise transmitted by the Steeda LCAs.

More suspension goodies from Steeda, their PHB and Panhard Brace. I've always had good luck with their parts and it helps that they are local to me. I didn't go with their springs this go around due to wanting a more aggressive drop.
