Car is a 1997 Cobra with a Paxton Novi 2k @ 15lbs
Ther is an AIS meth injection kit, trunk mounted tank and pump, full of boost juice. VC-25 controller, one nozzle in the power pipe and one in the intake pipe before the TB. Draw through BA2600 ( or something MAF in the fender well. No intercooler.
Not sure where the IAT sensor is. Is it common to put them in the intake manifold on 96-98 cars?
Anyway here's my problem. Logging with an SCT X4, My IAT's go up to 200 degrees under boost. Cruising is 130-140
Previous owner only drove it a few times and knew nothing about cars. I made sure the meth pump worked when by hearing it come on when I jumped the harness by the controller.
I also verified the meth comes out under boost, unhooked the line going to the nozzle in the power pipe, wrapped a rag on it and went wot. It was wet afterwards. Controller is set to come on at 7 psi.
Shouldn't my IAT's be like 80-100 degrees lower? Never goes under 130 and on the throttle it goes 160-200.
The only thing I can think of is the nozzles are clogged and it's not actually spraying? My next step is to remove the nozzles from the intake pipes and jumper the pump to see if they generate a mist, right?
Anything else I'm missing or not thinking about?
