One thing I can tell you for sure OP, If you go off the road and you find your rear axle is crooked and steering wheel is sideways, then an alignment is not going to fix it, you've got damage. You get an alignment and they'll put it on the rack and see it is 3 or 4 degrees out or more then there is no adjusting that back into spec, especially on a solid axle.
Shit happens though and anything can be fixed but you have a few thousand in repairs there most likely. Send it through insurance so they can cover it and you can make more upgrades along the way with the money they're paying out. That's my professional advice!
