Hey guys-

I inquired about this car and it seems that from looking at the autocheck, the miles for multiple years were in the 100k+ range. Couple that with the fact that they still show no photos, be very wary of this car. Good luck to all.

What does that say about the dealership selling that vehicle

Exactly. When I asked about the mileage, the guys response was, " I have no idea why that is but it's not our responsibility." I told him as the dealer selling the car, it absolutely is their responsibility. Some dealers just don't care and that's clear here.

I agree its definitely the selling dealership responsibility. Sounds like the want to act like they dont see the issue.

I think someone fat fingered the numbers.... on my 9500 mile sonic blue cobra. The smog guy was about to enter 90000 miles since he didnt realize how low of mile the car actually was. Due your homework on the car ...just be cautious as you should with these cars in general.

Nick would you assume that 13,000 was a miss type and should have been 130,xxx?

Yes.

I would also assume that whom ever did the emissions inspections were always too lazy to go look at the odometer and just asked the customer how many miles are on it. 0 chance they all ended in 0 like that.

Suspicious for sure. I will say Id be suprised to see a new & used car dealer do this. If it was some random lot with no OEM affiliation it would be one thing. But to have an OEM dealer put it on the lot would be very risky for them.

It likely that someone added another 0 on accident, from the looks of it. Only way to know is having the car personally there in front of you and doing some extra digging.

Could it be that the 79,000 miles was actually 7900, the 100,000 was 10,000 and the 107,000 was 10700? Then someone reported it correctly at 13,000 miles?

Possibly. But somewhat unlikely that there were that many mistakes before it was corrected.

I find it less likely that it was driven 77k miles in 5 years, where outside those 5 years it clearly was not driven at all.
It would be very obvious based on pictures/in person. I highly doubt odometer rollback in this situation. I have found a couple situations where it was rolled back on cars in Michigan, however. In Michigan they go odometer exempt on title after 10 years, so after 10 years they can roll it back and its not tracked by BMV, and they don't care. I just found one that was supposed to have 96k miles, and it really has about 150k. Previous owner got screwed and never did a Carfax.

Go look at the car in person.... Huge difference in normal wear and tear from a 10k miles car vs 100k

Yeah that’s what they did to me once they added like 500k miles when I only had 55k I took it to the chp and than too the dmv and got it fix now the problem that I have is I got a new pink slip and it doesn’t show the Miles smh ‍♂️

I'm in the camp of the error is in the emissions employee not giving much of a care when he punched in the mileage and didn't record the decimal, or was just whipping through it.

He/she probably was a Ford hater.

If that car had over 130k it would have been driven in bad weather causing lots of wear and tear.

The interior shows the story of 13,000 miles wear and not of 130,000. If was 130,000 that drivers seat would be well worn. Not to say it couldn't have been swapped out, but mystichrome good condition drivers seat is not so easy to come by for replacement.

Price is about 10k too high though for this car especially with this discrepancy....

Plus I hate those wheels on it too.

Bottom line. Many questions. Many reasons to pass. If the dealer doesn’t care about the mileage discrepancies, that’s on them. Nothing anyone here can do about it. I feel bad for the person who DOES buy it and what they’ll go through trying to correct the obvious errors.

When I’ve seen this as an error, it’s usually just 1 entry not 3 in a row
