Sorry to hear that. You are not alone either. Here's a quote from one of his former employees that was posted on Facebook:

For what it’s worth, I want to send out my deepest apologies to all the customers who have lost money and parts that frank has stolen. I had no idea he was stealing money from everyone and now I know that includes me. I want everyone to know I did my best to get their vehicles back , as well as any parts that have been ordered or scattered. There were over 40 cars here that we had to track down owners, cuz he would never write down phone numbers. I can say that every car here has been successfully been returned to their owners. Unfortunately 90% of them where torn apart and he sold everyone stuff ( from what I was told the customer agreed to it. I now know it’s a lie). I have pushed day after day for him to order parts so I can finish vehicles. He would send multiple pictures to people saying it’s their parts. Thank you to those that are understanding. Please understand that frank kept all financial information away from his family.
That being said there is no money for her to issue refunds. This isn’t her fault and she has Nothing. Whatever she can sell is barely enough for her and her kids to move forward with their lives.

So not only is this guy arrested for heinous crimes but he was also a shitty business man and was stealing from customers as well.

I genuinely feel bad for all the people who lost money but now have to try and piece their cars back together.

Yes, I'm aware of the post. He got everyone their cars back, albeit a little lighter since our vehicles were used to inventory his jobs.

How does that work? Can you file a suit against the Company's insurance? Is there anything you can do at all.
I kinda got played once too, and I didn't follow through with going after the guy.

Sounds like typical tuner shop BS.

I'm skeptical about the white being entirely oblivious. She was part of the business and even had that red 5.4L car.

She had a bad ass pick-up for a time. Never saw the red 5.4 although the FB poster had one.

I doubt anything can be done through the shops insurance. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they had none at all.

I say that because out here in California newer non established shops aren't really shops at all. You won't find them listed on Google and maybe on FB. Some flat out don't advertise at all and get all their customers via word of mouth. When you pay you do so in either cash or you gift the money through PayPal. Literally no other forms of payment are accepted.

Why? Simple, the state is cracking down hard on shops as of late and doing business legally is a serious PITA. These aren't really businesses at all because there is next to no paper trail of anything. You can't carry insurance for something that doesn't really exist.

I learned about all this stuff just recently as a friend had his engine built by a shop I've never heard of nor could find on any platform. Before the work started they told him cash or PayPal gift, no exceptions. I thought he was crazy but he had a friend who had used this place recently and had no complaints.

Now I am not saying this guy wasn't at least somewhat legit but again I doubt there is any real legal recource.

Today Frank is due in court for what's termed a settlement conference. I'm not exactly sure what that is but I believe it can be used instead of a jury trial if both sides can come to agreement over the issues at hand. A compromise of sorts, I guess. I don't know how successful they really are though. Maybe @SID297 can help.

$20k in 'surety bail' $20k in "cash bail". Was originally $500k I think. Unless I'm not reading this right. If he's really innocent, I wish him well. If not, I hope justice prevails.

You are correct. That's one hell of a huge drop from 500k. I don't know anything about how bail works but I do know about price drops. It's almost like whatever happened yesterday at his settlement conference shed some positive light on Frank.

Interesting.

Time will tell.

Did all these vehicles and parts disappear while he was locked up possibly?

I’m so jaded now I’m more inclined to think his whore wife was doing it and whatever apology post was back a page or two was the employee she was having an affair with.

I don't know about the time frame concerning the parts. My last contact with Frank was in 2016. Shortly after he relocated his shop to the other side of town. I do know the author of the apology post. He's a happily married man but that hasn't kept people from having affairs.

That would be an interesting turn of events.

I just did an inmate search for Frank and he no longer appears on the data base. What's that mean? He might be out on bail....

FlahDah man.
Usually 10%, looks like he is hooked for 22k right now. Better than the 50k he would have had to come up with to cover the 500k bail.

OK Bozos, stop clowning around.
