I dream of the day when I find a shop or land to build one. And a 4 post lift!

Thankfully I still have access to a two post if I want to. If the other house we were interested in hadn't been a dump I'd have a 40x40 shop going up by now.

After ordering 3 power steering pumps I finally received the correct one. Installed it, bleed the system and I have brakes now!! Finished
last night detailing it and I also detailed under the vehicle while it was on the lift for 3 weeks. Going to gas it up tonight, add lucas octane booster and put her on the tender for next 6 months...

Any tricks you could give me on bleeding the system? I’m in the process of swapping out my power steering pump now and can’t get the damn system to bleed correctly.

Jack the front end up so the wheels are off the ground, take the reservoir cap off and start turning the steering wheel lock to lock(engine off) a minimum of 20 times. Check the res occasionally so it doesn't run low and suck air.

Honestly I just kept turning the steering wheel full lock in both directions with the cap off the reservoir. Then shut it off let the air bubbles rest, top off fluid and after a couple of drive cycles recheck fluid and it should be good.

Pulled the blower after realizing it was never properly reclocked by House of Boost when they sold me the kit. Put about 1k miles in it with the oil slinger sitting out of the damn oil. Don't see any visible damage to bearings or gears but sending it off for inspection and reclocking anyway.

It must've been partially submerged. I messed up and put the slinger in the wrong spot on my D1. It took about 4 minutes for that blower to eat itself at idle.

That a nice finish on the expansion tank. Did you powder coat the cap or did it come in red? Looks really good.

Started off checking my CCW Classics utilizing the Baer brake template to upgrade my brakes from Baer 6p's to Baer 6s brakes w/ monoblock xtr calipers but starting seeing some corrosion/rust so decided to refurbish/overhaul the front suspension. Started tearing it apart. And 6s or XTR calipers will fit CCW classics with big brake cut. Have minimum about 0.125" clearance. I'm thinking the following:

POWDER COAT
+Steeda front sway bar
+Front spindles
+Coolant tank support
+Heat exchanger brackets
+Stock A-arms (might just purchase BMR arm's undecided)

PURCHASE NEW
+Steeda swaybar mounts
+Front Timken Hubs
+MM end links
+Energy Suspension bushings 4.3144G (might just order BMR A-arms)
+Prothane rack bushings 6-703-BL
+Steeda X2 ball joints (might just order BMR A-arms)

The cap came like that but I do have hood clearance issues now. I was told the ring can be flipped upside down so the neck part of it is down towards the tank and the cap will still screw on because the ring is threaded from the top to the bottom. I'll have to try it myself before knowing if it actually works or not.

Where did you guys get these caps from and do they bolt straight on or require mods to the tank to fit??? Either way they look nice and I hate fighting the cap as well.

It was not 100% the best fit but it went on without having to drill the tank out any. There are some hood clearance issues though, see the quote above. I got it from Jegs, search under fuel cell caps

I put a new water pump, thermostat, idle control sensor
Saw a similar thread on another site, thought it was a good idea. Last night I did nothing more than glimpse at it when I grabbed a beer out of the garage. But Sunday I took off the passenger side valve cover and last weekend I installed a BAP.

What did you do?

Had my 9 and 14 yr old boys help me with the cobra. Help lift front end on jack stands, remove passenger wheel liner to access K&N filter to clean. I already changed spark plugs, cleaned MAF last week in attempt to find my rich idle.

Right now charging Optima battery as the car is dead.
