Great looking ride Dirks from the pics in the 13/14 photo thread. I wanted black from the start when I ordered back in 2013 but did not get the allocation. Ended up ordering a 2014 in Ruby Red metallic. Did not really care what color I bought for the latest 13/14 GT500 as long as it was an unmolested stock one owner ride with low miles. Got lucky and found me a stock 3200 mile untouched 2013 Red Candy GT500 and could not be happier. Price I paid is a crime. It will be the last Mustang I probably will ever own since I have had so many vehicles in the past and before my wife euthanizes me.....lmao.

Ruby red was on my short list. I saw in person and loved it with matte black stripes. Even if you paid more, you got a really nice example with low miles. Cannot go wrong there! Lol mine says the same. She is a car girl at heart but when I actually threw down for my 14 she said ”your done until our future child is out of college” lol we will see. She has the car bug more than me haha

Your a lucky man with a wife that is so much into cars. I have known only a few women in my 63 years that have the same passion for cars. My wife could care less and I have owned over 60 rides. She did really like my Ruby Red metallic black stripe 2014 and I would still have that GT500 if it was not for my issues. I was very surprised to find another 13/14 that was like my 2014 and unmolested. So now I can die happy....lol....because this is my last Mustang and its the keeper.

I am. Its awesome to say the least lol. She’s a great girl. Oh man 60 is a lot. I’m know where near that. I need to add a bit of garage space first lol. Finding a unmolested car was my challenge. It seems to be somewhat hard with these cars. Just like the 03/04’s. I’m happy for you found a good one though. Especially it being your last. I don’t see myself getting rid of mine either. These are a last of a breed imo and my dream car. I fell in love right when they came out.

There
Price on everything is up. Go look at prices on shitbox new edges and early s197’s.
How the hell Covid caused people to be more comfortable with wasting more money is beyond me.
Half my development is getting inground pools installed right now too. People spending like there is gonna be no tomorrow

I think everybody had the same idea - COVID = people not spend cash = now's the time go take on projects/etc. they've been wanting to because trades/materials/etc. will be cheap and desperate for work. Of course, if everybody has the same idea at once then unintended consequences, like cost of lumber/etc. through the moon right now.

Many of the low mileage unmolested 13/14 GT500's have been grabbed up already. There are a few out there but high priced. I had a few lined up last year but was not ready to buy. Also did not want to pay the prices which ranged from 48K-55K. Certainly the last of its breed for sure. I consider it luck that I was able to grab this 2013 and very happy.

My beat up 78k mile 2013 is sitting a nice margin above what I paid for it so I’m loving it!

Aren’t the verts governed to not go above 150-160 mph? Coupes are not limited, so it seems to me that would be a factor. Either one would be great, but like the ‘67-‘68 GT500s, that won’t matter much.

I was at a car show the other day and someone asked to buy my 2013 GT500 (stand in line). Said he has seen it around town and wanted to stop me and ask but decided not to. Yes he offered stupid money for it, and yes I thought about it for a second, but just goes to show you how collectible these 13/14's might become. I told him he was 6th in line -"if you ever decide to sell it" - I'll give you a call. LOL

I totally believe it. Pretty rare sight to see a 2013/14 GT500. Granted, Covid-19 has shut down many of the shows and cars & coffee events this past year. But the ones that we have attended, it is quite rare to see another 13/14. The same can be said for the 2020. BUT... the 2020 GT500s are still quite new to be seen much. The problem is that I may not recognize it. In passing I may decide it was just another 370Z or some other Japanese performance car.

You are right! Time to sell it before the prices drop.

Yes and yes. Whether that's a factor for potential buyers is debateable, depending on their purpose for buying. I'd also guess the governor can be adjusted/eliminated with an aftermarket tune.

Why not? Ford's entry into the ricer market is notable, for some.

I actually listed my 15K miles Candy Apple Tinted 2013 vert for sale during the summer. For a short while I had my eye on a 2019 ZR1. Then I began re-thinking the big HP thing for something from the 60's ...more vintage with less likelihood to get into trouble!
With my '13 listed only for a short while I had reservations & asked the website owner to pull my ad. Suddenly a firm offer popped up for 48K. Oh-Oh!
My wife loves the Shelby & helped convince me not to let it go. Her argument included how sleek it looks plus it makes great HP while running smooth as stock...100% sorted out from tail light to headlamps. She was right . So to make up for it in September I had the Shelby Pro Ceramic coated wheels as well ($1100). Now it shines like it's in brand new in the showroom 7 years ago LOL !
Don't know what I was thinking but those urges for change are part of Hot Roddin ! One never knows what next season has in store.

Excellent move.........I owned a new 2014 GT500 for two years before having to give it up for personal health reasons and it killed me to sell it. I waited 4 years in misery without a 13/14 GT500 and just picked up my keeper in August a 2013 Red Candy beauty and will never have to give this one up. My next house being built soon will have a 3 car garage so plenty of room to have more if I ever can find some money....lol.
