Need performance shop in michigan suggestions

I'm looking for a place in Michigan to get my subframe connectors welded in and a baseline dyno run then tuned. I've been turned down by everyone up north here and at Alternative Auto downstate. Anyone have any suggestions? This is getting to be far more difficult than I expected. Engine is stock with 41k miles so it can definitely handle a run on the dyno.

The better question is why are you being refused?

No one is competent enough around where I live to weld them in or doesnt want the liability. I live in Alpena which is a small town. And Alternative Auto said they dont work on cars as old as mine anymore.

I use Lee Blankenship in Shelbyville Kentucky, that may be a poke for you but the dude is good and down to earth.

Funny that Alternative told you they don't work on old vehicles when VMP Performance (in Florida) literally just posted a video last week or so while visiting Alternative Auto and Lidio (the owner) says he will tune Fox Bodies still. I have a feeling they just don't want to do the subframe connectors.

Any shop that has a drive-on lift can and someone that is a decent welder can install them for you.

Can't help you with a dyno tune but I know at least 2 places here in Saginaw that would do the subframes. Check with any muffler shops up there?

You should try asking in your regional section in the "Taste of Home" area of the forum.

Lidio at Alternative did say he would tune it, just not work on it. None of the muffler shops I trust here have a drive on lift. Paul's high performance will do it, but only their connectors. Since I've got to drive a couple hours minimum for a dyno I was hoping to get it all done at once. I'll post in Taste of Home and see what I can figure out. It's nearly not worth the hassle at this point.
