Metco pulley's...single or dual bearing?

Opinions on these, is it worth the extra $100 for the dual bearing pulley's? Seems like the single bearing would be far superior than stock.

I think most of us followed the same logic as you. Dual bearings are certainly nice, but the singles have proven more than adequate for the vast majority.

I have BF single bearings. Granted two years ago I changed them just for the heck of it easy to change no issues.

I prefer the double-bearing Extreme-Duty pulleys for their ability to handle added stability and withstand excessive belt loads, but I agree that a quality pulley with single bearings is more than adequate. And certainly much better than the OEMs. So yeah, save the $79.99 extra charge for double-bearing and apply it towards another mod.

My Metco single bearing snub idler went bad with fairly low mileage. It was the only single bearing one I had. All the others (double bearing)are fine. Running super tight belt tension to avoid belt slip puts a lot of stress on them. Rather than rebuilding it, I replaced with it a double bearing one.
