Granted it's always amazing what the aftermarket industry comes up with but with as tight of an engine bay as the C8 the thermal management is going to be crazy. I think a TT kit is going to be really expensive and not very practical Vs a TVS/KB/Whipple kit. But with all the rumors of a TT Z06 car who knows.

That same thing has been said and disproven in many MR cars. Look at all the lambos, ferarris, and R8s with TT kits. No MR car has a lot of room in the bay.

was just reporting what I saw.dont know the guy. you guys must had dealing with him,or you just read what someone said like I did.

let me tell you a little story about this guy. way back in 07 or so the owner of MVP motorsports (a very successful import online shop) purchased RSI (Racing Soutions Inc) in houston as a means to get into the domestic market. TT vipers and stuff. after the deal is done they find out some stuff that meant he had a lot of work to do to get RSI solvent.

so he hired me as an IT/web/sales guy and the first day I show up he informs me that the president has been poached by Hennessy. the guy had a ton of knowledge so this was a big hit but not insurmountable. a few weeks later, same story with our lead tech, the number 2 in viper TT knowledge at the company.

he does this right down to the effing ACCOUNTANT, guys so that we had ZERO people in our facility with first hand knowledge. sure we had jigs and examples to work from but it was like climbing Everest in flip flops.

so... i'm not a fan of the guy.

but to get back on topic, its my opinion that MR cars generally have about the same engine bay space as FR car but the additional benefit of having the open space immediately after it (bumper area).

Look, we all agree Hennessy should have been out of business a long time ago. However, your story isn't a reason why. So what he hire people away from another company.....doesn't that happen all the time? They could have turned the job offer down.

Kinda have to agree with him, thats just business. Ethics are a joke when it comes down to it, pretty much any and all successful business men would do it.

Hennessey is a pos due to actual theft of customer parts

is it really productive to contradict points I haven't made?

Guess I also missed your point then. But if you are going to hate a businessman for that then you probably hate Trump too. Its just reality.

you did so i'll clarify.

first, i don't hate anyone.
second, most people that hate on hennessy do it from internet rumor based on his shady dealings.
third, my little story was to offer a first hand account of just how shady the guy can be. the guy is a certifiable sociopath. he even came by the shop to buy some of our furniture in the fire sale. you think he needed to do that? no, the guy wanted to see what he had done.

i saw the man's character first hand with my own two eyes and shook his squishy clammy hand which is more than most people can say when they talk about him.

so like i said. hell of a salesman. also, a prick.

i'm not aware of much in the way of bad quality so much as shady crap like robbing peter to pay paul and selling things that don't exist yet (as if they already do). if I wanted a super fast exotic i'd go to UGR or one of several other shops WAY before hennessy. if its a supercharger its just a rebranded thing marked up from another company. if its a TT kit it'll be done in house but won't be as good as UGR but will probably cost more.

that said i'm really just wanting a stock C8 vert right now. those things are dynomite.
