Dragstrip pass in the 85 LTD ex FHP trooper car

1/8 mile pass in the 85 LTD a little while back.
Really will be glad to get back to a 1/4 mile track when life gives me another little break to go play.
Hope with a better launch it'll get into the 9's 1/4.
Went a 6.52 @ 108.9 1/8 here.

I was there early in the day. Unfortunately I wasn't able to hang around all day due to other plans.

Appreciate the compliments every one. Its an ugly old car but it sure is fun.

LTD.

The LTD II was a model made from 1977-1979 that wasn't fox chassis based.

That's cool , 6.52 @ 108.9 in 1/8 will be 10.1-10.2 1/4 mile pass . You will need to dip into 6.3s to hit 9s

My experience in the past with my 90 LX coupe corroborates that info.
If memory serves correct when it went 9.84 it was a 6.23 or so.

I expect with a low 1.4 60ft and good fall air the LTD should go around a 6.35 1/8. Hope to find out soon.

Well I was close. Went a 6.37 @ 110 1/8 the other week. Was good enough for a 9.94 @ 137.3 1/4. 60ft was still at a 1.49 as the track was decent but not great. Still believe it has a tenth or two in it with a better 60ft.
