I bought the car with a KB 2.8 on it thats pumping out 17 psi as we speak. After reading around seems like this blower might be too big for whats needed. I never really was a big fan of KB and been kicking around the idea of maybe swapping out the blower to something smaller and up the boost?

Not sure if its worth the time and money do to all that. Since its a KB 2.8 will need to undo all thats been done to have the intake system running back in stock configuration.

what's the entire setup? I assume you have the mammoth since you're mentioning the intake

That is a badass blower but at only 17 psi yes you are leaving a lot on the table. Also that exhaust setup really is too big for the current boost levels. That being said if you can get E and turn up the boost the car would be insane.

To be honest i am not sure how much a stock bottom end can handle, some say 700-800. At 17psi it dyno'ed at 662rwhp. I have a pump down the street that sells corn, so i can always go e85. I just want this setup to be configured right i figured 17psi on a 2.8 is not what it should be.

Plenty of people crank out well over 700+ rwhp with zero problems. Often better than stock drivability with good tuning. I’d crank that boost up to 22+ and put her on e85 and let it rip!

there are some people who are running almost 1000hp on completely stock internals. You're no where near the breaking point. I agree 17 psi is not where you should be. On that blower you should be putting out almost 24 psi. Address the fuel system, then get a smaller pulley, tune and turn it up on E85 and you'll be satisfied.

get their 1400 return system kit and bigger injectors. id1300s. You're going to need a bigger mass air sensor too. ba3000

17psi and 662...Sunday stroll for that blower. Plenty of reliable power already (not a bad thing IMO) unless you've got an itch to scratch like most everyone else is suggesting. Maybe I'm the only pansy in the crowd, but it gets challenging to put big power down when you're on the street. Any idea what's been done to the drive line? Input shaft, clutch, any suspension...?
All this talk almost makes me want to dump the trusty old 2.2 since it's apparently somewhat in demand these days based on wanted ads and go bigger!
