How much oil are you guys catching in the separator?

After about 1k miles now (driving somewhat hard) I had about 10-15% full on the passenger side oil catch can.

just wondering if thats a normal amount?

Which catch can are you running? I have the Bob's catch cans, but I barely put a 1k miles a year on car so it's hard to say how much oil they really catch since I'm always checking them.

How come some people say the JLT catch cans don't work when it looks as if SCGallo2's JLT catch cans are working as expected.

Is it the difference in motor builds? Like if I have a bunch of mods will the jlt not do as good of job as say a UPR or Bob's catch can?

The original JLT oil separator filter screen (in red) did not work very well. JLT provided upgraded filter screens free of charge to rectify the problem; the upgraded filter screen, aka Version 2.0, works well. The newer Version 3.0 filter screen works slightly better on my car.

I use JLT at well over 1,000 rwhp. It works perfectly. So did the previous version but the newer one is better.

Takes 5 seconds to install and/or empty. Bob's and UPR are nothing like that. If you want a bunch of hoses and a pain in the butt to service, you have options. If not, and you just want it to work, you can choose the one with the monstrous market share (for a reason).

I run Bob's on the passenger side. It is more effort to install than the plug and play JLT. I do disagree it is a "pain in the butt to service". I put the plastic cap off of an aerosol can beneath the reservoir and turn the right angle valve and oil runs out. When done, close valve. I believe the JLT requires unscrewing the lower section to drain. I also prefer the Bob's due to more capacity.

They each have their pros and cons. Everyone will agree something is better than nothing.

I have a new JLT 3.0 on my 13 GT500 and that is pretty much the same amount of oil as you have.
