Two weeks ago or so it was revealed he had stage 4 cancer which wasn't surprising. Wasn't he a cop at one point?
That cancer is a sneaky one in that most of the times goes undetected/no symptoms until it's grown to an advanced stage.
By the time you have issues swallowing food it's usually not in an early stage.
Same cancer that got my uncle ray in 2012, it was stage IV by the time it was diagnosed. He had always had issues with heartburn, suspect years of stomach acids erosion of the esophagus was probably a contributing factor.
RIP Eddie
Yup years of stomach acid can cause it. It's pretty crazy how the standard procedure for heartburn for some is tums or self treatment of prilosec. Got to get that shit under control before you get Barrett's and possibly esophagus cancer.
How'd your uncle fare? Edited my post as I didn't want to assume.
I had acid burn of my lower esophageal sphincter back on 2016. I was an idiot that would eat a late meal and then go to bed like a half hour later. After an endoscopy/colonoscopy (other symptoms) they found the burnt sphincter.I had two decades or more of bad heartburn thru my late 20's, 30's and 40's. Finally did something about it and have not had it in 15 years. No drugs either. People don't realize that when you have heartburn from acid coming back up your entire intestinal system is backed up. I had an endoscopy done last year and there were no issues with my esophagus thank god.

Definitely have changed my habits and only seem to encounter the normal heart burn occasionally.
RIP Eddie Money. I did enjoy his work.
Anyway back to the man Eddie Money. Most remember him for Two tickets to Paradise and a few other hit songs but I always liked this video and song with the Lowriders.
