I would get 30 days off with no pay if I went home to shit lol.
.

A few years ago I had to write an email to the entire business unit instructing them, "professionally", that the bathrooms were for #1s only until further notice (had a very bad septic system issue). Some people were excused and allowed to go home. Some went into the woods behind the place.

Best part is that the VPs, COO, CEO, CFO, were copied on the email since they were part of the "ALL-SC" distribution list. They probably had no idea what was going on since they were all 800 miles away at the main HQ/campus. I even included the Fallout 3 "Please Stand By" picture to really emphasize the importance. The email was riddled with subtle poo innuendo. I was quite proud.

Very. Especially if it’s 0300, you’re in there alone, and another dude sits down right next to you an arm’s length away.

I had a co-worker that always seemed to come in and sit in the next stall over whenever I had to take a shit at work, no matter what job site we were on.
He'd come in, sit down, and start a conversation with me. Lol

Priest or politician?

Lol. British Royal Marine. He decided to screw with a friend of mine who just finished watch.

The Royal Marine quickly escalated things as he was firing his first salvo by grabbing my friend’s leg and using it as a brace.

A go home slip is just a simple piece of paper. You fill it out and you can go home no questions asked. No matter the work load. Although, they charge you 2 points to leave . On your 15th point you are terminated. No if ands or butts, I’ve seen many good guys fire themselves. We also have a rolling 6 months so any points they charge you come off . Some guys take huge advantage of it but I don’t . I usually only have 2-4 points max. If it seems weird to you guys we are union so it’s part of the negotiation on the contract.

Thank the Lord for small business, we don't have such rules and regs.

You try taking advantage, you get run off. Your wife is sick, or Mom dies?, you go home. I care about my people, and each person is different. Celebrate the hard workers and the dependables, and understand others are not that devoted to work, in a measurable scale.

OP, hope you are feeling better!

Eh. I’ve crapped pretty much everywhere at this point. Worst was Camp Wilson in 29 Palms: it was just an open room with no stalls. Just a row of shitters lined up and another row facing them on the opposite wall.

Yup, remember that. I took more shits in the 130 degree portashitters that probably a dozen Marines had jacked off in earlier that day though than I did in the actual restroom because the walk was too far and like you said, it was awkward being so open. But I do remember shitting in there a few times and seeing guys to the left and right and thinking "**** it, who cares".

Well if I had a (office job ) I would of stayed . I don’t have a issue going anywhere . It was the fact of making it. If you gotta go number two there is usually some sort of control to get you to the rest room . Not when it was pouring out like a river. My work is 2.1 million square foot. I drive a fork lift that goes 8.0 to 8.3 mph. Depending where you are it could seriously take 5 to 8 min to get to a rest room. Plus there is usually 300 to 500 guys on the job on any given day. Even if I made it someone could be in there laying a hot one and you’ll be sh’t out of luck. Like I said I don’t abuse the system, some people do. Back 17 years ago when I started it was .5 points to call off or leave. Since guys abused it is now 2 points. The fact about my work is we got man power and if 50 guys were to leave it may cause the shift to go over a hour or so but regardless the works gonna get done.

Used to golf with a guy who had a few issues. When he had to go, he HAD to go. 100 yards from the clubhouse and he'd head into the trees. Couldn't make it.

Of course, he was one of those guys who went commando and wore no socks. So, when he made one of his detours he'd yell, "Someone lend me a sock!"

This bullshit went on for years until everyone in the group had donated at least a couple of pairs of those short ankle socks. Finally, we all wised up and started carrying a roll of TP in our bags.

Problem solved.
