Has anyone gone with these? they have been out for a while now and overall they get great reviews on Tire Rack for performance (track and street) and good bang for your buck reviews, but one thing that is all over the place is the ride quality and road noise----many say they ride good and quiet and quite a few say that they ride rough and are noisy. Any opinions here about these tires.

I have them on my Cobra and I like them fine.

Granted my car see very limited mileage (200 miles +/- a season) but when I do use the car they performed just fine. They hook well at stock power levels.

Noise is not really a concern for me since my exhaust is louder than any road noise.

Had them on my 03 Cobra. I liked them, quiet, good ride quality, hooked well at my power level, 460's rwhp 490's tq. I would by them again. Seems like I've read somewhere they're being used on the GT350 as an option. Definitely can't go wrong with that tire. Good luck.

I had them on the back of my ‘14 GT. 275/40/19. Tune only. They were better than the factory 255/40/19 Pirellis but traction and hook still sucked. I have since upgraded to MPSS and I’m not looking back.

If you upgraded to the MPSS rather than the MP4S then perhaps you upgraded from the ExtremeContact DW rather the the ExtremeContact Sport?

I’m pretty sure I had the Sports. The MP4S replaces the outgoing MPSS. I don’t think there is a major difference. I got a good deal on the MPSS so I pulled the trigger. Very impressed with the grip so far.

Everyone I talked to who tracks their car (road course) told me the MPSS is way ahead of other tires when it comes to handling. I’m sure the MP4S is just as good or a little better if you can’t find a set of new (now discontinued) MPSS laying around. But the MP4S will cost you more $$.
