Every so often I'll post a thread like this so it stays in front of people, but realize our offer to talk and help in any way doesn't disappear just because the thread does.

@Zemedici (Josh) and I are two people who are familiar with depression and suicide (attempts, thoughts, etc.) directly. And if you're going through a hard time yourself, even if you're not a registered member, we'd love to be your shoulder to lean on. Holidays are tough for a lot of people, see it all too often in my line of work. Having a support network can do worlds of good. Thanks for doing stuff like this.

I had another idea the other day and I've been meaning to post it. Why don't all of us regulars meet up and put some faces to these screen names? Once a year is too often because let's face it, we all live busy lives. However what if we did something like every 5 years? Fly to some location for 2-3 days and done. I think it would be fun. Could be a different location every year or something.

Now seriously as big as the Houston base is Im surprised we dont have a Houston chapter. It would be nice to see what some of these shit talkers looks like.

Good idea. I had a student the other week put on suicide protocol. He ended up in the hospital. Don't know if he'll be back. 8 years old.

Another reason I come back to this forum. You won’t see something this on any other forum.

This post improved my day and my faith in humanity exponentially.
