a quick update . my hagerty policy renew in a week was $550 with $500 something , I call in and they deduct down to $500 with $1000 something i forgot what it call , this with 15k value , nothing else they can do about it.

anyway I call grundy and gave them same information, and they say $250 a years. i was shock how cheap its, i ask the lady double check everything, like info of my car and stuff, she say , yub its correct $250 a years.

Sorry tough to read for me,

Are you saying the Grundy was half the price of the Hagerty for the same coverage?

I did online quotes for Grundy and Hagerty. I chose $25k agreed value and Grundy is $573/yr and Hagerty is $1006/yr. Not sure why Grundy is so much less, though I thought it was interesting their online quote shows $0.00 for both collision and comprehension deductibles (Hagerty lists $500). My current Progressive is $1010/yr with $100 comprehensive / $250 collision deductibles (and three other cars on the policy). I see they have a classic car insurance option so I am going to call tomorrow because I drive mine about 1 tank of gas a year, but I don't want to get the shaft on their total loss value.

I just googled progressive classic car insurance. It shows hagerty on the top left corner of the screen and progressive to top right.......

Seems they are in bed together somehow....

Quick update : Grundy is bunch of a hole . They do not want to work with you . I have 2 my little brother that Is in college . They live in another state . They both are under my progressive insurance . Grundy require each to have a driving record or going to Dmv to get driving record . They are busy and not live with me . I told them that . And they still tell me “ sorry you have to go to Dmv and get those driving record or google how to get it online “ I told them Dont worried about it . Hagerty is more easy going . Its only $200 different a years without the hassle Grundy gave me . and be done with it . Just renew with Hagerty .

Sorry you had to go thru that. I just received my policy with Grundy for $338 with 25k value. It was an easy process for me , no DMV stuff required.

Good luck

I just asked my Dad who he has his 57's insured through. He said Grundy. So, based on that and the information presented here it looks like Grundy FTW!!!! I'll be calling them shortly..........

I hear you Will. My cars are normally parked, but I drove my Vert to work everyday for 2 weeks. Just put it away this past weekend. Back in my DD this week, but driving my Vert everyday was really nice.

My Hagerty policy is up for renewal in December. I did a quick online quote with Grundy and it was $300/yr cheaper than Hagerty. I called Grundy once I had my Hagerty paperwork so I could make sure they were writing the same and it was apples to apples. They updated the quote to match and it only went up $4! I'm hard pressed to find a reason NOT to swap over to Grundy with those kinds of savings.

Anyone have any insights on agreed value policies that I've overlooked? There were no mileage restrictions for either policy, just couldn't be my daily and parked in a garage at home.

Same experience here. No mileage restrictions and I had to show them proof of the car inside my garage before theyd issue the policy.
