I'm looking to sell my dovetail trailer due to not being able to drive my Cobra on it since it is lowered. Anyone on here have any suggestions on a good car hauler they own or have used that works well with lowered cars?

You need a short ramp to enter the trailer ramps whether enclosed or not for lowered cars. It's easy to do.
No trailer on the market will suffice otherwise. On an enclosed trailer, I use ramps to get it up the back door. Easy. Also, 2x6 boards screwed to the floor, full length of the car. That way the car door will open without hitting the fender wells of the trailer.
You have to modify/compromise a trailer because none are made for lowered cars.

Agreed 100%, but my doevtail trailer will not work at all. The dovetail is an issue.

You got a pic? I'm not sure I understand the problem.

I don't currently. My headers drag at the top of the dovetail. I am wanting to get a trailer without a dovetail due to this being an issue with my Cobra and some other cars I have hauled. I thought about modifying the dovetail, but i would rather leave it like it is and get a trailer without a dovetail.

Pardon my ignorance, just had to google a pic of a dovetail open trailer. The idea is great, lessening the approach angle. Problem is for our cars is the crossover section from angle to flat.
A flat trailer like I used to have, sucked. I needed the dovetail. I didn't have it so I had to use boards, that sucked even worse.
I finally got an enclosed trailer but still rubbed the from splitter on all cars. Because they are all lowered.
On a dovetail like I saw on google pics, it would take a heck of a long ramp to make the angle doable for headers. But, if you go flat trailer, the angle is even steeper.
If you decide to go enclosed, it doesn't take much to get the cars up/on the back door. The long, lesser angled approach helps. I put my aluminum ramps on the door, drive right in.
My Cobras are very low. The Shelby has that front splitter that's stupid low on approach.

Your problem may be that you need longer ramps for the trailer. Even my stock rode height ‘14 would scrape the exhaust when trying to load it on my 16’ open non-dovetail trailer using the 4’6” standard ramps. I solved my problem by buying 6’6 heavy equipment ramps. They weigh like 80 pounds each, but now even my very low ‘66 coupe doesn’t scrape. The added ramp length really reduces the angle of approach. Having the truck/trailer pointing slightly downhill helps as well.

To allow my door bottoms to clear the trailer fenders I also screwed 2x12 boards to the trailer floor. Works great.

While were discussing approach angles, even the ramp on my enclosed is too steep and I ripped off my extended front air dam and had to do a ghetto track side fix.

Are there any alternatives to Race Ramps? Those things are well made and lightweight but pricey. I saw similar aluminum ramps that weren't any cheaper. Not looking to haul around heavy homemade wooden ramps...I'd thought someone would've made some knock off version or plastic copy by now.

I have a Aluma 18ft tilt.. I still have to use ramps.. and my trailer probably has one of the less aggressive approach angles around.

I have a 20ft tilt deck , it's the only way to go for hauling anything lower than a pick up truck. I modified the left fender so I can pull it off in about 1 minute to make clearance for opening the drivers door. Having said that though, I haven't tried loading my (lowered) Cobra on it yet. I know it would drive on no problem but I don't know if the door would clear the top of the trailer tires.

Can't find a pic of putting the car in the trailer, but these are the ramps I use on my trailer door/approach.
They are a humpback design. Light weight but very durable.
Edit: This pic was from when my garage & driveway were still under construction, had to use the ramps temporarily to gain entrance to the garage.

I see you mentioned the Race Ramps; that is what I use in conjunction with my trailer ramps. They are made specifically for trailer ramps and work well. You have a choice of lengths and heights, they are light and easy to stow or store. Whether they are pricey is up to each person's views, I like doing things easy and safely. These fit the bill.

Man I don't know on the lowered Cobra. The nose is so long before the tire hits the ramp to actually make the car start going up. I'd damn sure have someone spotting for you.
My Terminators are lowered, plus the '13 with the front spoiler. They all hit before the tire touches the door, that's why I have to use the ramp pictured above.

Put air bags on the trailer and drop it to the ground. Problem solved.

I know you are concerned with open trailers, but I found a way to load my dragbike without extra ramps or boards. The door itself was a great help due to the shear size. I still had to cross the threshold into the trailer though. I ended up lifting the front of the trailer to load the bike. I basically reversed / inverted the threshold. I created a dip between the door and trailer instead of a hump.

My experience is from a uhaul trailer I rented when I purchased the cobra. I've seen some cool enclosed trailers with a swing open side door so race car driver door can open. Looked pricey though.

Am I the only one that crawls through the trunk space since the door can't open on a trailer?!

HAHAHA! I just did this shit 4 times my last track day in my c6z...And Ill probably be doing it again this Friday when I go back. Only way around it is a longer trailer and you back the car on to have fender clearance OR raise the whole deck up with 2x12s or whatever
