I went that route but deciede to delete the oil cooler and go with a gt adapter. If you want i have the set from speed concepts minus the internal oil cooler ones and the housing adapter.

Send me a message if you want them

That's it, Josh.
Do yourself a favor though before you order it. Get under the car and pull the oil filter, then use a 1/2" (12mm) allen wrench on the bolt/shaft. It's the shaft that the oil filter screws onto. It can loosen up with oil changes and heat cycles etc. Make sure it's good and tight. I don't remember the TQ specs, but it's gotta be good'n'tight.

Id be inclined to do an external air/oil cooler set up than the factory oil/water (coolant) setup. Especially if you abuse the engine or live in hotter climates.

I went down to an auto parts store and bought all the o rings for about $4. Trouble is finding a place that has big o rings like that

I kinda think Ford wanted it there for a reason though.....

People have been deleting them for years with no ill effects. Reason being, the oil "cooler" isn't really for cooling the oil. It is an emissions item. Ford uses it to heat the oil to temperature faster. With emissions you want the coolant and oil up to temp as fast as possible. Also you want to maintain the temp to a set number as close as you can. This is why the extra bypass hose is there from the top crossover tube to the thermostat housing.

I bought my oil cooler O-rings at the Napa on Middlebrook. Be sure and get Viton if you go that route.

I went to Ford for the internal o rings. Parts guy opened up a big o ring box and matched up size. Think they were for a Powerstroke. Less than $5.

Took it in to the mechanic. He said that the gasket to the engine block was shot and also the o rings inside the oil cooler were shot as well. I told him to go ahead and replace my tensioner and he said he didn't want to mess with removing the EGR tube because they are hard to find. Do you have to remove the EGR tube to change the tensioner?

Btw he said the Oring kit was good that I got. He wanted to know where I sourced it from because he can never find all the orings for a complete oil cooler rebuild.
