I just purchased this setup from Beef. I plan to run the 8.4 psi spring. Any good info/advice for this thing or is the install and everything pretty straight forward?

Anyone have dyno #s from before and after? Interested to see the torque boost. My car dyno'd 606rwhp/450ft lbs. I like the HP where it's at, but was a pretty disappointed in the torque numbers, hence this purchase.

How long does my motor has with the 8.4 psi spring? :D

Oh and holy shit they ship fast. Ordered at 10:30 and will get it tomorrow. Good stuff.
Glad you're happy!
The install is very straight forward and should not take long at all. People have ran centri powered 5.0s for tens of thousands of miles. I would not be worried. All I did on my car was throw some OPG/CG and call it a day. Let 'er eat!

The "i wish i bought a turbo" mod lol

you should be fine w/ the 8.4# spring - most guys don't even bother - they just run the 9.7# spring and call it a day

Yeah, I just drive this everyday and would rather go conservative until I have better internals.

I would like to see a before/after of track times when changing ONLY to the torque booster.

I know Beef has one posted, but I would love to see an actual customers results.

I'll try to find my slips but before tq booster would run 11.6-11.8 at 126-7 mph after tq booster and tune update this was 2 years ago so lund had a new tune changes but the car ran 10.8 at 134 but average was more like 11 flat at 131-2 . The car had long tubes boss IM and meth injection not tuned for but since sold the car and email the guy now then he has run a 10.5 at 135 the car is mt t56 with long 1st gear set with 4.10 rear did like 60 in 1st on 28 radials now on slicks don't know size but hopefully shorter.

Lol true story...I was disappointed with the torque on the Paxton. Sure, the car is still plenty fast but it just never feels that way.

I'm using the 8.4 spring until I install the oil pump and crankshaft gears. Everything I need is ordered, but that OPG job looks terrible. I hate messing with timing. Thankfully my father in law is a mechanic who builds his own race cars, so he helps me with the stuff I'm nervous about.

Gotcha... seems to be everyone's gripe with the centrifugals.

OPG is much scarier than it looks for sure. It honestly isn't all that bad once you get into it. Worst part is that damn rear bolt for the pickup tube. But other than that it was just a matter of taking shit outta the way. I used the factory timing marks to line everything back up when I did mine since I was changing the sprocket as well.

I'm changing the sprocket as well. That's the part that has me nervous since I won't have marks to line it back up with. In the MMR install How-To, someone mentioned counting the teeth to make sure it's lined up exactly the same. Should be interesting for sure. My luck I'll blow up my engine by trying to add parts that are to prevent it from blowing up lol

Feel free to hit me up.... way easier to just use the factory timing marks than trying to count teeth hoping you know exactly what tooth u made your marks on.

Thank you sir, much appreciated. Hopefully it'll be a non-issue, but I'll certainly ask if I get stuck or nervous.

Mine went from about 11.6 at 124 to 10.8 @ 131 on pump gas/stick shift. Changes were a new calibration and the Tq booster/9.7psi spring. Both on 93, I can't remember the DA's. Definitely the I wish I went turbo mod, hence my signature status.

Just got it today. Attempting the install tonight. My only question is will the pulley location change with the 3.33 and the 100" belt?

Balls deep in this. Putting the belt back on. Anyone got advice on if I need to change the position of the adjustable pulley?

:mad:Well, for those of you who are curious, I had to move the pulley over two spots. Belt went on pretty easily and the tensioner only moved a little bit once the belt was on. Should be plenty tight. ****ing belt is the worst part about this install. Everything else took a total of 10 minutes. The belt took three hours
