Hello Awakened. I have not done any modifications to that level. The only engine modifications I have done was to paint the valve covers.

I'm good at painting and adding different wheels, but actual modifications are a little beyond my capabilities at this point.

Maybe one day......

Lol, you know it's funny you mention that. I have a black coupe and i have been toying with the idea of making it a 10th Anniversary replica. I say replica because i found wheels that are close, but not exact.

I could paint the supercharger flat black to replicate a whipple .

Thank you for your compliment Zemedici.....

I love this thread! I haven't been around SVT in quite awhile, but it's great to see the interest in stuff like this is still there. I started working on one of these to be a replica of my car several years ago, but never got around to actually painting it, mainly because I wanted to have all the minute details such as you do with the decals. I was able to add rims similar to my TF Chicanes, which was cool, but never could find engine details such as the Whipple. I love that you even do the stencil on the heat exchangers! Have you found the color for the red seat inserts yet? I was thinking that it would be cool to hit them with a satin clear or something to give them a more natural, realistic look. I may actually look into just having you finish mine since I no longer have the time, nor patience for doing stuff like this, and you are much better at it than I am anyway. My car would probably easier than most since it's not a custom, metallic or anything, just black. Mostly the interior would be the most work to get right, I'd imagine. Have you found any models that have the CDC type lightbar? That was another sticking point for me to getting the right look. The model I started on is a red fire vert, and I never got around to stripping it, or painting the black just in case I couldn't finish it and wanted to put it back to stock condition to resell or something. Is finishing this something you'd be interested in doing possibly?

Hello black 10th. Thank you for your kind words and appreciation of this thread. I have always thought this kind of stuff was cool and I'm enjoying creating something for Cobra owners that might not be able to get a replica of their car any place else.

Yes sir I would be interested in finishing your project for you. I already have the Ford (UA) black to boot.

I have only seen 10th anniversary Cobra's in pictures, so I think I have a red that is similar to the seat inserts. It is actually a vinyl red so it is flexible and should work on the plastic seats very well. It is not glossy either, so it should have the proper sheen. Just keep in mind I'm no professional and these cars I build are not an "exact" replication of peoples cars, but are very close.

I do not have the ability to create parts and I do not have a 3D printer or anything like that. I go online and look for other Maisto cars that may have parts I need. For example I use the Maisto Z-06 Corvette to get the CCW classic replicas. I recently found a Roush 427R car that does have a style/light bar. I "MAY" be able to use that. However, I have not purchased on yet, so I do not know if the size or dimensions will work yet.

Send me a PM with your desired options (i.e. rear Cobra bumper insert color, HE stencil, etc.) and we can discuss price and how to proceed.

Glenn

Hello Zemedici. Okay let me turn my black coupe into a 10th Anniversary. Once I start I'll see what options you would like. Then if you like it we can discuss price.

I have currently been inundated with requests. TK1299 kind words and pictures of BlksvtCobra01 CO car have given me some momentum. Which is a VERY good thing. So, it may take me some time to get to it, but rest assured I WILL get to it.....

Hello All,

I have been tossing this idea around based on some suggestions from members here. This is totally for fun and to kind of track the cars I have built. This is NOT meant to be a legal document or an official tracker or certificate of authenticity or anything like that.

I have created a certificate to go along with these diecast cars that mimic the original SVT certificates.

Here is a certificate I made to tie in with the first diecast car I built.

My question is what do you guys think and do you think this is something I should start sending out with the cars?

If I decide to do this I "WILL" send out certificates to the owners of cars that have already been sent out.

So, what's the groups consensus???? Again this is for fun......

Okay here is the final. This is for the coupe. The one above is still set up for the convertible, but the color line has been added to the certificate as well. (Basically convertibles will have the picture on the left and coupes will have the picture on the right).

I also changed the year on the vert certificate as I realized CO was only in the 04 model year.

Okay, it seems those who like these cars also like the certificate idea. So, I will send these out. Besides, no one said anything negative LOL.

If you have already purchased a car from me be on the lookout for this in your "inbox." I was going to print and mail them out, but figured I would save on postage and send them electronically. This way if you lose yours or it gets damaged you can just reprint another one.

Great idea Glenn! I'll be #1 & #5.
Just got home to see the SB Vert, and as I figured, looks great next to the CO Vert!
Anyone on the fence about having a car built? DO IT. The detail is over the top. Very fine craftsmanship on an already cool car.
Mine went on a top shelf because my grandson already eyed them. With that little devilish smile! No touch!

Thanks Doug. The certificates were based off your suggestion. So, thank you for that. Also, thank you for the kind words. You were the first to buy one of my cars and you are also the first to be a repeat customer.

I appreciate you brother.

Those cars look great together......
