I have one of these on my car, along with the wire upgrade. So far I am very happy with it. Hasn't been on my car long, but the quality is just like oem. No external regulator. 14.4v hot idle at the battery.

Start 'n Charge? I recall reading that there was still trouble even with those - they were built really well, but the Terminator is a determined beast when it comes to killing alternators.
I'm pretty sure external regulators + really heat resistant windings are needed for these cars to give the alternators longevity.

I don't remember my old start n charge costing nearly that much and the first one died due to winding failure from the heat. Would be nice to see more information on these, especially longevity and data logs...
