Changed the oil over the weekend. I also ordered a set of Bilstien HDs from summit and some SVE springs from LMR.

It was like $600. I'll see if I can sell my current setup on Craigslist for $150-200.

I've also been talking with TRE. I'll have them install the new gears, but I'll need to pull the rear and confirm the differential status. I'm thinking the clutch packs are shot.

Wow... I just read this entire thread and let me tell you... If I had this many problems with the car I probably would be in a room with padded walls right now. More power to you sticking with it and fixing all these bulls*** issues. I look forward to seeing more positive posts in the future!

Thanks man.

It started as "well it's a highly modified 13 year old mustang" and now we're at "what the **** else can I do, scrap it?". Just gotta embrace the suck.

Ordered those Bilstiens from Summit yesterday. They are already here!!!

God I love Summit and Jegs.

When I know I'm on a timeline there is nowhere else I'll order from. Plus JEGS is super easy to price match. It's not worth fighting for a few bucks when it seems most "shops" drop ship stuff and it takes weeks.

Plugin along.

So frustrating. Without the original style struts it took me a while to figure out how to install the front Bilstiens. Ended up just using the coilovers mounts without the spring perch.

I also forgot to order front isolators. What ev.

So, it's kinda sitting like a 4x4. My understanding is it should settle down however. No noise or vibration from the lack of front isolators.

It needs an alignment badly.

Rear is also looser than a 50 year old Ukrainian hooker. I'm sure the lack of sway bar is a contributing factor. Although the upper arms and bushings have a lot of play.

I think the LSD is also shot.

Car also makes a "errrrrr" sound under hard excel or turning. Not sure what it is, it's coming from the right side of the car.

Magnaflows also still bang around like a mofo.

So, plan is -

Going to have TRE install some 3.35 gears, maybe rebuild the dif.

Need to get a Team Z upper relocation kit.

Need to get a eBay Borla knock-off exhaust. Sell the Mags, should be a break even deal and hopefully eliminate some of the clearance issues.

Swaybar drop bracket?

damn, as messed up as everything else is are you sure the magnaflow system doesnt just need to be adjusted and snugged down? Their stuff has always been pretty decent in my experience but it can be a pain to line it all up

IDK.

I've read they have horrible fit issues because of the radiuses on the exhaust.

It's banging the frame and axle.

that piping looks different that anything Ive ever seen from magnaflow. Not sure it has the adjustment it needs or not. Hitting the frame looks like an install error, typically hitting the axle is too but looking at that setup Im not convinced it can be adjusted

What's with the anti-roll bar tabs that are welded on the axle tubes? Any signs of there being one in there previously other than those tabs?

They would have to have done some cutting to remove the bar and/or the brackets for it. Check the inside of the frame rails above those tabs.
I have a 2003 cobra I bought new. I first did a pulley, then stringy port and now have 2.3 whipple. It is a street car only. I am 65 and can't work on cars like I use to.
If your ever in Brenham my number is 979 421 3395. I'd like to see your car when done. Sounds like your going to be taking it to the strip. Sealy has a 1/4 mile if you live in Houston?

We agree, it doesn't seem to be one of our complete systems. Perhaps its a custom system using our mufflers, as people often do? All of the SRA systems we offer for these mustangs use band clamps, not the ball-flange type show in the pics.
