Any "First" on BAT always brings the highest dollars. Once more get posted for sale (Porsche/Miata for example), the prices steadily go back down to normal levels.

However, with that said, this was the highest price paid for a 95 "R" that was dealer prepped and under 5,000 miles in 19+ months. Pictures show the car had lead a semi humid storage life, with surface corrosion apparent and the seller not willing to take pictures with anything but a drop light to hide the amount of corrosion being shown in the pictures.

With all the stupid numbers at Barrett Jackson in the last couple days, if a 95R was here might have brought $300k, an example was a 7-up for $82k.... Insane.

Was there anything more to the 7-Up that being a 7-Up? Charity, lined with gold bars...?

I may be with a serious medical situation.

I have 95R #113 and hope you guys will help me out: I like your quotes of $30K-$35K. I have all of the paperwork going back to day one. Yes, I have pictures. It was never raced.:

Doc,

Based on the "celebrity" ownership of "your" car, I suspect it is worth an extra $10,000

Add a video of you signing the glove box, add another $5,000 to the asking price :D

The 7-Up car was extremely low mileage. I think I read 15 miles and no dealer prep. All of the cars he sold were extremely low mileage, and a number were not dealer prepped.

Close Tom,
That car had 16 miles on it. Still it was silly money for a model they made over 4,000. I'd be willing to bet there are more than one of these that were not dealer prepped, but good for Dennis to be the first one to put one out for public auction. I don't think this will be repeated anytime soon. Maybe this is the beginning of the "Fox Body Bubble"?

the 7-up sure was a wrapper, never driven, but was an auto. The summer edition was 5 sp $44000. The maroon LX, was nothing special, 638 miles, $71,500 The SVO $63,800.

No there were not any gold bars in the trunks.

According to a poster on 1993 cobra forum, they were all bought from a collection in Florida not that long ago

Those numbers don't even come close to making any sense.

I had no idea who Dennis Collins was until after the cars sold... Now that I know who he is; I still don't care.

After Barrett this year, I believe that may give the foxes a little push... Although they have been going up in value for quite some time.

I would still like to buy a 95r but I just can't spend 00R money on a 95r. For all of you 95R owners congrats on your cars going up in value!

How many miles does the car have?

Sorry to hear you may have a medical issue. Hope the "may" turns out to be "don't".

Whoever that guy is he won the lottery with those sales. There are no words for how ridiculous those numbers were. Sometimes you just don't know the "what" and "why" when it comes to auctions. Sometimes there are hidden agendas, shill bidding, etc. and so on, but to anyone that knows these cars as well as the people on this forum, there is nothing about those numbers that comes close to making any sense, nor do I think that my fox body cars are now worth anything even close to those numbers, cause they definitely not.
