Theres been a few photos of challengers with rediculous tire running around recently. Wouldn't make sense if the Demon is using that body though

The only thing related to the Demon in that pic is the center logo...you do see the Hellcat logo on the actual car right? No factory car is coming with drag radials. Even dodge wouldn't put that dumb ass of a scoop on the hood. Hopefully they keep the same hellcat hood. That's just someones modded hellcat with an ugly hood.

It's actually going around that this might be the demon the wheels the flare, and the hood. I'm now positive that the demon is going to have a larger blower on it than the 2.4L

Well, insiders have confirmed that, that is the Demon. Have you ever spent time on allpar.com? They have a few that are privy to very good information. Grant it, it probably won't have a Hellcat logo on it, but that picture is nearly 99% accurate. I only put a question mark because it will have a couple of minor changes like any big reveal. That hood is correct. It will come with exclusive DRs from Nitto design specifically for the Demon. That is not just some guy's modded car. Check out allpar.com, there are several threads.

Curious to know how they dropped 400lbs from the car. I read that in the other Demon thread.

Also why they would choose sticky wide rubber for the front tires?

I keep reading on other Mustang forums that this car is going to be around 810HP? Anyone know if this is true?

this what said in street muscle mag.
What We Have Been Told:
  • 6.2 liter supercharged Hemi
  • Not turbocharged
  • Bigger rear tires (315s)
  • Flares
  • Over 850 horsepower
  • Deep-dish rear wheels
  • AWD is a V6, not Demon
  • ADR could be up to 1,000 hp, not Demon
  • Dodge can get up to 900 hp through emissions, but playing it safe with 850 hp range

We’ll bring you more as we find out and keep you filled in on everything we know, everything we hear, and everything we see. Stay in touch!

So, I wonder how the car could be less in weight if it has flares and bigger tires all around? I read about 400lbs less in weight?
If I had to guess,.....I'm going to say that this is the same engine as the Hellcat, but only tuned better and with some slight mods. IIRC,.......the Hellcat engine makes about 825HP.

sometimes i wish ford would have done something similar with the trinity. and brought a rwd aussie platform up here and put it in that as well.

if this drops the price if hellcats, i might jump on one.

This engine will be different, not just a modded Hellcat. Insiders have mentioned that the heads and block are different. The supercharger will be different. Most feel as though the Hellcat made around 725HP, not 825HP. In order to lose weight, they will turn to carbon, more aluminum, maybe an aluminum block, light seats, rear seat delete, lighter forged 18" wheels etc. Anyways, this will be a significant upgrade, well beyond the surface.

Sheesh this sounds like it's gonna be bad ass! If truly 400 pounds lighter, 110+ HP, and thicker, stickier rubber than a Hellcat, this is gonna be the epitome of Detroit muscle. How can any car guy not be excited? Dodge is gonna have the straight line game covered compared to the new ZL1 and GT500.
