This is my life here at my office with a few of the older guys I work with. They have no clue at all how to navigate through a computer....it annoys the hell out of me when they ask a question and it takes me 15 minutes to tell them how to add a network printer!!!
I feel for you. We had a lady that was President and CEO of the place I worked at. Now this was back in the early 90s. We go to school to learn this new software and system. So the teacher says press "any key." She looks at me and then looks at the keyboard, looks at me and then the keyboard. Before I could say anything she hollers out. "Where's the ANY KEY?????" I have looked everywhere on the keyboard. I actually started sliding under the table. She thought she was all that and was going to point out a flaw in the keyboard on her desk. The teacher says that means to press any key on the keyboard to go to the next screen. Well after about a 15 - 20 minute discussion and me still sliding for the floor, she still could not understand it. I actually got up and went to the restroom just so I would not be any more embarrassed than I already was. She lectured and lectured the guy to change the manuals to say "Press the A key or Press the B key." It was awful.
