My turn for some warranty work. Took the car in yesterday morning for the head tick and for a chirping TOB. Got a rental, first time in a newer Taurus, not a bad ride for a sedan. Picked up the car last night after hours, so I didn't get a chance to ask the tech any questions, but here's what...
Is this what it takes to get the GTO in the 12's?

Night and Day difference between the new one and the stock quadrant. I can't believe I waited this long to put one in.
The install went pretty smooth, about an hour. Had to use a dremel to open the f/w hole a bit for the f/w adjuster, also had to shave a little off the adjuster collar so it...
Have you ever thought R stands for "Race"? Nothing worse than downshifting to 3rd to pass someone, then after passing them, casually bumping reverse, thinking that I'm dropping it into 6th. Bzzzzttttt. Yeah, I'm cool. :rollseyes
Too bad the T45 doesn't have a reverse lockout like the T56...
I want to put some GM Synchromesh into my T56, hopefully this will smooth things out a bit. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or the tools to properly change/flush the fluid, so I thought I would leave it to the so called experts, ha!
I called one of the local chain shops and asked them...
46 degrees out this afternoon, decided to take Cobra to the Family's Easter Dinner.
I sure do love Wisconsin weather. :xpl:
But, on the bright side, it did give me a chance to put on another coat of Z-2 :coolman:
Too bad the sun wasn't out when I took these, oh well.

I'm going a 1,500 mile road trip and I want to put a bra on. I plan on going with a Colgan bra, but I can't decide between the standard black or the carbon fiber look.

I'm only going to use it for long trips, and definately not in any rain (if it...
Has anybody tried one of these?

It looks like it will do the trick. I like the aggressive release geometry, it just looks fast.
Or should I just stick with the trusted UPR setup? And is this the correct part from UPR...

The first time I read about people using diapers to dry their car I thought it was some sort of a bad joke. “Damn, wouldn’t that be *really* bad for the clearcoat?” Then I finally saw the light, not disposables, dumb@ss.
Today was the first time I ever used them, bought a dozen by Gerber...
I've done some research and I'm pretty sure a new quandrant kit will help my shifting (right now, it starts to engage about an inch off the floor). I've looked at kits from Steeda and others, but they seem pricey and tricky to install. This shouldn't involve rocket science and dremels, and for...
Does anyone else with a vert have any wrinkles in it? I have a couple of them over the center of the rear support bar (just fore of the rear window).
I usaully keep the top up when I'm not driving it. The only thing else I've done to it was treat it with Raggtop, but I don't think that's it...
Went to the Milwaukee Auto Show last night on the spur of the moment (forgot to take my camera with me :bash: ) and got to take a nice long look at the new beast.
Has anyone else seen the headlights up close? I noticed a small gear somewhat hidden behind a cover (about 1" in area) that...
