I believe the hose came off your pumps, due to the BAP pressure flowing thru 5/16 hose will have some back pressure, also stock pump do not have barbs to secure the hoses and are slightly tapered. I believe you should have 3/8 hoses, as far as keeping the hoses on stock pump it's a gamble. I...
As long as you don't change the meter foot print or increase the inner diameter of the tubing and place your meter in the same position you should be ok.

Block plug used, drill out square hole DO NOT make hole the size of snout studs, bevel edge with sanding place face down into pullie, use press to insert plug, then use press on snout to lock in place on plugs DO NOT use in lube.

I believe a stock lower can be used as long as the bushing do not show any damage and or not 10+ years old. I replaced mine with block plugs then pressed the snout into the plug, it provides a very nice tight fit.

Double check all wiring around supercharger, sounds like once the metal expands it create a short, but it can only happen when its hot.
